Design & Play Notes: I greatly enjoyed “Is There In Truth No Beauty?” an episode of Star Trek TOS, and Elspeth is based on the guest character. She is statted as a full PC, but is also suitable for either a Notable or Major NPC. (Appropriate numbers of Traits, Focuses, Talents, and Values for these types of NPCs can be found in Chapter 11 of the core book.) Note that as a PC, GM permission is needed for the Telepath talent, and, in most eras, to be non-Starfleet. Academy and Career Lifepath steps are the civilian equivalents of Starfleet Academy and Experienced Officer. I have left the relationship Value, Career Events, and Backstory partly or totally open so players can customise.
The sensor web incorporated into an overgown (or “Decorative Embroidery”) can be used for any visually impaired character as an alternate to the VISOR.
