The Workshop – Gamer Nation Con Preview #2: The Ranger’s Bow and Barbarian’s Club

We’re back with another preview ahead of Gamer Nation Con 8 which, at the time of publishing this piece is just a short 10 days away. And while I’m balking at the amount of work I still have to accomplish in those short few weeks, I’m excited to get back down to see friends who have become more like family in the years that I’ve known them and roll some dice with people I love. I’m also thrilled at the number of new people that are making their way down this  year for the first time – some I’ve known online for quite some time while others I’ve not have the pleasure of any interaction with.

And with that in mind, I wanted to give you one more sneak peek before this adventure hits the tables at the convention. And this week you’re going to get a look at not one, but two weapons that were designed by yours truly for this game based on the artifacts given to the main characters of the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon. The energy bow wielded by Hank that every ranged character wanted as well as Bobby’s powerful thunder club.

I didn’t hold too much back with these items. They’re meant to be powerful, especially at the level the party will be for the adventure I’ve written. Of course that just means that I get to be a little bit meaner when I’m putting together the encounters that the players will have to go through, right?

If you’re going to be at the convention, make sure to stop by and say “hi!” And if you’re not – I highly recommend keeping your eyes and ears open for the announcement of Gamer Nation Con 9 in 2024 and keep your eyes peeled here for at least one after action report.
