One Year of Gamer Nation Blog

In case you hadn’t figured it out, the earlier post was….shocker…APRIL FOOLS!

Can you believe it Gamer Nation? It has been one year since the Gamer Nation blog sprang into existence. And what a year it’s been. We started with just a handful of gamers excited by the prospect of writing about their passion. Since that first post we’ve grown to include a solid core of four featured columnists and a large pool of contributing writers.

It’s been a great pleasure this past year to have the honor to work on this blog. I’ve had the opportunity to indulge my love of gaming and interact with people from all over the world who share that love. The group of writers who contribute to the blog are amazing and a delight to work with. It’s pretty mind blowing to realize we have writers from four different countries all coming together to talk about gaming.

But we wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for the wonderful great Gamer Nation who make up our readers. It’s thanks to our Patreon supporters we’ve managed to achieve, and exceed, our first year goals. This has allowed us to go from compensating our writers with a bucket of good intentions to paying for every article published, a copy editor and managing editor.

So, on this first year anniversary, allow me to say thank you to all of our readers, writers and Patreon supporters. I look forward to the next year to come.
