HoloNet Uplink – Patrol Troopers + Patrol Speeder Bike (Solo Content)

Welcome to the HoloNet Uplink, citizen. This series focuses on Fantasy Flight Games’ Star Wars Roleplaying Game, with content aimed mostly at the Gamemaster. Threats, adventure seeds, rules supplements, and more are all to come for those who access The HoloNet Uplink.

There’s a YT-1300 freighter full of Solo content yet to come, so today I am pleased to keep unloading the cargo bay with some more stats. Two weeks ago I brought you the range troopers, as part of my altogether unreasonable attachment to stormtrooper specialty corps. Well, if you’ll recall, we had another specialty corps that appeared earlier in the film. The patrol troopers, and their C-PH patrol speeder bikes, are our subject for today.

Stormtrooper Specialty Corps: Patrol Troopers [Minion]

Deployed to the Empire’s industrial and urban heartland, patrol troopers are a branch of the stormtrooper corps charged with law enforcement in areas deemed vital to Imperial interests. While local and planetary forces are left to police most of the Empire, these patrol troopers secure important shipyards, spaceports, factories, and other areas critical to the Imperial war machine. Patrol troopers are patterned after scout troopers. Flexible armor equipped with enhanced optics and real-time data uplinks allow patrol troopers to navigate urban sprawls with ease while ferreting out crime or sabotage. These uplinks all for near instantaneous information sharing of data from routine traffic information on patrol to pursuit vectors during high-speed chases.

C-PH Patrol Speeder Bike

Large and blocky, the C-PH patrol speeder bike provides patrol troopers with a survivable transport for urban patrolling. Top of the line Aratech repulsorlift systems ensure maneuverability is not compromised despite the bike’s greater mass and lack of aerodynamics. This blocky design and extra mass allows the bike to better withstand collisions with other vehicles. This, combined with a forward facing Ax-25 blaster cannon, makes this vehicle a capable platform for high speed pursuit.
