It’s been well over a month since I’ve added an entry to my growing list of\u00a0Rogue One<\/em> vehicle stats. The last in this impromptu series was my offering of U-Wing stats, plus some custom variants<\/a>. I’ve always been a fan of Thor weapons and vehicles in Star Wars which are based on real life counterparts. Despite being an avid player of Cold War strategy games, I\u00a0am ashamed to say I did not initially notice the TX-225 tank was based on the Alvis Stormer with Shielder mine laying system.<\/a> Since finding out, I’ve been meaning to post about the vehicle. Thus I felt it was high time to return to this project, so without further ado I present my take on the ol’ fashion, treaded, Occupier Combat Assault Tank.<\/p>\n

TX-225 GAVw “Occupier” Combat Assault Tank<\/h3>\n

A relative rarity in the Imperial war machine, the TX-225 GAVw “Occupier” combat assault tank is a reliable and agile track-propelled vehicle. The track drive system frees up a considerable amount of power, allowing the Occupier to carry bigger guns and more cargo than would be possible on a repulsor craft. This allows the Occupier to fill an armed transport role, moving critical commodities using self-protection instead of having to rely on escorts. Economics aside, the Occupier truly shines in combined arms urban combat. By combining a tank with supporting infantry squad, a versatile grouping is created. The observation and agility of infantry protects the tank from close in, personnel threats. The firepower of the tank protects the infantry from other \u00a0vehicles and fortified positions. Urban detachments of stormtroopers regularly practice these “Tank-Squad Tactics,” generally with the tank commander in command.<\/p>\n

Special:<\/strong> Tank-Squad Tactics (the tank commander may perform the Tactical Direction maneuver: as a maneuver may direct one stormtrooper minion group within medium range, that group may perform an immediate free maneuver or add 1 Boost die to its next check. In addition, if a squad of stormtroopers is within medium range, the tank commander gains 2 Boost Dice towards Vigilance and Perception checks).<\/p>\n

Variant: TX-227 GMVw “Repressor” Mine Laying Vehicle<\/h3>\n

A specialist variant of the Combat Assault Tank, the TX-227 replaces the modular cargo pod with a self-laying mine system. The system is a series of launch tubes fed by canisters of mines, capable of throwing mines out to a considerable distance. TX-227s, or “Repressors” as they are commonly called, are used to establish complete minefields in rapid order.<\/p>\n

Special:\u00a0<\/strong>Reduce Encumbrance Capacity to 50. The TX-227 is equipped with a self-laying mine system. As an Action, the Gunner or Commander may activate the system, launching mines to Medium range behind and beside the vehicle. The onboard canisters allow mines to be launched up to four times before reloading. Mines come in either anti-vehicle or anti-personnel, per\u00a0Table 5-5 on page 173 of\u00a0Age of Rebellion,\u00a0<\/em>with crews preloading the mines as required by the mission and threat type.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
