It\u2019s back to the Galaxy Far, Far Away this week in Astral Projections! A while\u00a0ago, my son and I watched the\u00a0<\/em>Clone Wars\u00a0Season 4 opening story arc,<\/em>\u00a0Water War\/Gungan Attack\/Prisoner, which takes place on Mon Cala (aka Dac). I am always\u00a0intrigued by<\/em>\u00a0Star Wars\u00a0underwater technology and creatures as I SCUBA dive and have a degree in Zoology. <\/em><\/p>\n

Equipment:\u00a0<\/strong>Heavy\u00a0Blaster Rifle (Ranged [Heavy], Damage 10, Critical 3, Range: Long, Auto-fire, Cumbersome 3); Grenade Launcher (Gunnery, Damage 8, Critical 4, Range: Medium, Blast 4,\u00a0Limited Ammo 4)<\/p>\n

Soak:<\/strong>\u00a07 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0Defense (ranged\/melee):<\/strong>\u00a00\/0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0Wound Threshold:\u00a0<\/strong>5<\/p>\n

Aqua droids were commonly deployed by the CIS on watery worlds during the Clone Wars, notably Kamino and Mon Cala\/Dac. In addition to their underwater adaptations, they were quite tough, unlikely to be destroyed by one or two hits from personal scale weapons, in spite of their appearance. However, those same underwater adaptations made them awkward out of the water, making them easier to defeat.\u00a0Like several other battle droid models, their loadouts were easily changed by replacing a weapon arm.<\/p>\n

Design\/GM notes:\u00a0<\/strong>These are intended to be suitable opponents for starting characters, so their loadouts and weapons are less powerful than in the TV show. If you think your party can handle tougher droids, feel free to upgrade their weapons.<\/p>\n
