With this final article, the Campaign Headquarters<\/em> is breaking camp and moving on.\u00a0 I\u2019ve enjoyed my relatively short run on the d20Radio Blog and I want to thank Wayne Basta and the rest of the staff for giving me the opportunity to write content for this great community!\u00a0 Real life is always full of challenges when it comes to juggling a career, family, and trying to write a weekly feature and I was finding it harder and harder to keep up so it is time to pass the torch to the next writer.\u00a0 J.T. Sometimes, the hardest part about writing is finding inspiration for your next topic.\u00a0 For this final article I turned again to the live-action series The Mandalorian.\u00a0 <\/em>My parting gift to you all are the angriest bird to ever inhabit the Star Wars<\/em> universe, the Mandalorian Whistling Bird<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Whistling Bird\"\"<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n

Whistling Bird refers to a personal weapon system utilized by Mandalorian warriors that fires guided, armor-piercing, explosive, micro-projectiles.\u00a0 Usually mounted on a vambrace, this weapon system replaces the normal single-fire rockets used as micro-rocket ammunition.\u00a0 Once a Whistling Bird launcher has depleted its projectiles it can easily be swapped out for another launcher or a common micro-rocket payload.<\/p>\n

To fire the Whistling Bird requires taking an aim action to designate the target or targets within short range.\u00a0 When fired, the launcher releases a number of micro-projectiles that emit a whistling noise as they swirl and strike their targets.\u00a0 Made of beskar steel<\/a>, these projectiles are denser than durasteel and able to penetrate most personal armor before detonating their small charge.\u00a0 A skilled craftsman who lacks a supply of beskar can attempt to fabricate replacement projectiles from durasteel, but they will always be less effective overall.<\/p>\n

The basic launcher body costs 250 credits and replaces the micro-rocket ammunition on a typical micro-rocket launcher.\u00a0 A full load of beskar projectiles costs an additional 500 credits while cheaper, durasteel replacement projectiles cost only 250 credits.\u00a0 Using the Whistling Bird with autofire activated expends an additional ammo for each autofire shot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
