It has been some time since I visited\u00a0BioWare’s The Old Republic<\/em> setting. In November, I began a look at the dreaded Esh-Kha<\/a>. I plan to continue those articles, but I must confess I am an Empire fanboy in almost every setting, whether it be Galactic or Sith in the case of Star Wars<\/em>. It has been a long time since I showed the Sith Empire some attention. In fact, my last entry was almost a year ago.<\/a>\u00a0Let’s change that today.<\/p>\n

Terminus-<\/em>class Destroyer<\/h3>\n

The Sith Empire’s\u00a0Terminus<\/em>-class destroyers serve as the mainstay of the Imperial Navy. While dwarfed by powerful\u00a0Harrower<\/em>-class dreadnoughts, the more numerous\u00a0Terminus<\/em>-class provides the Navy enough hulls to cover the breadth of the Empire. Individual destroyers, or small squadrons of two to three ships, patrol Imperial space while conducting duties beneath the deployment of a full dreadnought. Often deployed as escorts,\u00a0Terminus<\/em> destroyers protect transports such as their sister\u00a0Gage<\/em>-class, or serve as screening ships to draw fire away from\u00a0Harrower<\/em>-class ships of the line.<\/p>\n

While most admirals and Sith Lords prefer battleships as their flagship, a number of Sith war leaders chose this more humble ship. Darths Marr and Avendis, both charged with command of entire fleets, preferred the\u00a0Terminus<\/em> for its agility. For particularly hands-on leaders, this agility allows them to go where a dreadnought either cannot pass without notice, or, given the spatial anomalies in the Outer Rim, cannot pass at all.<\/p>\n

Built from the same basic hull as\u00a0Terminus<\/em>-class destroyers, the\u00a0Gage<\/em>-class transport is the merchant workhorse of the Sith Empire. Many great officers of the Imperial Navy first distinguished themselves on humble transport duties aboard a\u00a0Gage<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Represent the\u00a0Gage-<\/em>class transport by increasing Encumbrance Capacity to 8,000, passenger capacity to 1,500, and by reducing the number of turbolasers to three port and three starboard.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
