Welcome to the HoloNet Uplink, citizen. This series focuses on Fantasy Flight Games\u2019 Star Wars Roleplaying Game, with content aimed mostly at the Gamemaster. Threats, adventure seeds, rules supplements, and more are all to come for those who\u00a0access\u00a0The HoloNet Uplink.<\/em><\/p>\n

Procrastinating, as I often do, I recently fired up Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy<\/em> to do a Jedi Master run. To this day, the Raven Software Jedi Knight<\/em> games are my favorite video game portrayal of lightsaber combat.\u00a0During a play through of the previous game,\u00a0Jedi Outcast<\/em>, I was inspired to write up the basic level Reborn<\/a> warriors. Today I take a look at what became of those Force-infused baddies that failed to meet their demise at the end of Kyle Katarn’s lightsaber. While this is all now Legends material, I suspect GMs running a\u00a0Force and Destiny<\/em> campaign set after\u00a0Return of the Jedi<\/em> may find the Reborn useful. And of course, as always, you can simply file off the name and call these folks “Sith Acolytes” or whatever works for your purposes.<\/p>\n

While I may churn out some lower end (and higher, don’t you worry) cultist stats for the Disciples of Ragnos at a later date, in a pinch you can reskin my Reborn minions as bottom tier disciples.<\/p>\n

New Reborn [Nemesis]<\/h3>\n

While the majority of their number were defeated at Yavin IV, dozens of the Imperial Remnant’s Reborn warriors remain throughout the galaxy. These survivors have overtime gained improved control and mastery of their Force abilities. Many continue their service to the Remnant, while others have gone into hiding. A few have deserted the Remnant and offer their abilities to the highest bidder. Many crimelords, now wise to Luke Skywalker’s resurgent Jedi Order, would pay handsomely for a Force user of their own. The Dark Jedi Tavion Axmis, former apprentice to the now deceased leader of the Reborn, has secretly rallied the majority of the remaining Reborn into her Cult of Ragnos.<\/p>\n

Tavion has further trained those Reborn who now follow her as Disciples of Ragnos. She deploys these New Reborn on missions of utmost importance to the cult’s activities, acting as her lieutenants and enforcers. Each is a capable threat to the fledgling padawans of Skywalker’s Jedi Academy. Surrounding these warriors is a cadre of lesser disciples, hired guns, and in extreme cases Imperial troops. Supremely confident in their abilities, Tavion’s New Reborn are ruthless in the pursuit of the cult’s ultimate goal.<\/p>\n

Talents:<\/strong>\u00a0Adversary 1 (upgrade the difficulty of incoming combat checks once), Parry 4 (when struck by a melee attack but before applying soak, suffer 3 strain to reduce damage by 6), Reflect 4 (when struck by a ranged attack but before applying soak, suffer 3 strain to reduce damage by 6), Force Rating 2.<\/p>\n

Abilities:<\/strong>\u00a0Dark Side Force User (uses Dark Side results instead of Light Side results), Force Power: Bind (may spend Force points to immobilize a target within short range until the end of the user\u2019s next turn. If Dark Side points used, the target also suffers 1 wound per Force point spent on the check [ignores soak].), Force Power: Enhance (may roll an Enhance power check as part of an Athletics check, spend Force points to gain success or advantage on the check).<\/p>\n
