The Sequel Trilogy content continues. Today I have on offer stats for the fanatical, yet untested, ranks of the First Order officer corps and their signature sidearm the SE-44C blaster pistol.<\/p>\n

First Order Officer [Rival]<\/h3>\n

Zealous but untested by battle, the officer corps of the First Order makes up for their lack of experience with a willingness to\u00a0commit any act, no matter how heinous, in\u00a0fanatical devotion to Supreme Leader Snoke.\u00a0Compared to the officers of the old Imperial Army and Navy, who were selected and promoted more often by birth and connection than tactical acumen, these leaders are objectively better trained and better educated. Using the ideas of Commandant Brendol Hux, General Armitage Hux has overseen the ruthlessly efficient training of young officers to ensure only the sharpest are selected for command within his army. While\u00a0few\u00a0Imperial veterans of the Galactic Civil War remain within the First Order, those who do have found themselves marginalized politically. Adding insult to injury, many of these veterans have been assigned under officers half their age and with no combat experience. A common retort from the youthful ranks of the First Order is that, “Losing experience doesn’t count.” Ignoring the experiences of these veterans, most First Order officers will rely on textbook tactics implemented with merciless aggression.<\/p>\n

Equipment: <\/strong>SE-44C blaster pistol (Ranged [Light]; Damage 6; Critical 3; Range [Medium]; Stun setting), officer’s uniform (+1 soak), code cylinders, long range comlink.<\/p>\n

SE-44C<\/h3>\n

Produced by the Sonn-Blas Corporation specifically for the First Order, the SE-44C is a modular blaster pistol capable of automatic fire. Like many Sonn-Blas products, the SE-44C is an incremental improvement over a predecessor, namely the SE-14C used extensively in the Galactic Civil War. Superior energy output and beam coherence make for a more deadly weapon, and additional features such as a rail system and low-ammo warning are provided right from the factory. The drawback to these upgrades is the higher unit cost which has delayed issuing the SE-44C to all First Order personnel. Instead, issue has started from the top down, with the pistols currently reaching the hands of mid and low level officers. This scarcity has led some troops to dub the SE-44C as the “officer’s pistol.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
