Converting a Star Wars monster to D&D…Why?” Because every DM knows you can’t have too many tentacled creatures to populate your dungeons and make your PCs earn<\/em> their treasures and XP! Plus, it seemed like a fun way to improve my skills with 5e. Thanks to Empty Bacta Tank for feedback and some Challenge Rating advice.<\/p>\n

\nBite:<\/strong> +10 (Damage 2d6 + 20)
\nTentacle:<\/strong> Melee Weapon Attack: +17 to hit, reach ft., one target. Hit: 3d6+10 bludgeoning damage, and the target is Grappled (escape DC 18). Until this grapple ends, the target is Restrained. The rathtar has 2 feeding tentacles, each of which can grapple one target.
\nFling:<\/strong> One Large or smaller object held or creature Grappled by the rathtar is thrown up to 60 feet in a random direction and knocked Prone. If a thrown target strikes a solid surface, the target takes 3 (1d6) bludgeoning damage for every 10 feet it was thrown. If the target is thrown at another creature, that creature must succeed on a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw or take the same damage and be knocked Prone.<\/p>\n
