\nSince the fall of the Jedi Order Seraana has seen how much injustice there is in the galaxy. She\u2019s a little sickened by the fact that so much of it was allowed to flourish under the Order\u2019s nose, and even more sickened at the brazenness with which some of these groups act in the Outer Rim away from \u201clegitimate government.\u201d Unfortunately, her desire to do good sometimes causes her to go to extremes when stopping criminal elements.
\n<\/em>Motivation: <\/strong>Ambition – Expertise
\nSeraana wanted to be skilled with a lightsaber from a very young age. This desire has not been dulled by the fall of the Jedi Order. In fact, she believes it to be an even more important goal that she master the art so that the next generation of Jedi can learn. <\/em><\/p>\n

Background: <\/strong>\u00a0Seraana was a youngling at the Jedi Temple, just about ready to be accepted as a Padawan. Then the temple fell. The fact that she was away from the temple with her prospective master, Hessat Seito when the attack came is the only thing that saved her from being slaughtered with the rest of the younglings. Master Seito sensed what was happening and they disappeared into the lower city of Coruscant until he found them passage offworld. They traveled together for several years, the aging Jedi Knight teaching her what he knew about the Force and the ways of the lightsaber, but counselling that she keep her skills hidden and not use them for any reason. But time was not on their side and it was not meant to last. Master Seito grew ill \u2013 the stress of years of living on the run finally catching up with him, and he passed away, leaving the young adult on her own a full decade after the fall of the Jedi Order.<\/p>\n

She knew that she needed to do something about the state of the galaxy. As she traveled with Master Seito, Seraana saw many of the criminal groups that plagued the galaxy even when the Jedi were at the height of their power were become more and more brazen in their attempts to consolidate power in the Outer Rim. She also knew that she needed a job if she were going to be able to continue to hide and stay mobile. But she wasn\u2019t willing to give up on her Jedi training either.<\/p>\n

This is how she ended up in the theater. She found a small production that was looking for someone to help the leads learn the art of stage combat. It was close enough to Seraana\u2019s skills that she was able to teach them how to have a very realistic sword fight on stage. Her name has started to move around in the stage theater community and she has gained no small amount of notoriety for the fight scenes she is able to choreograph and produce on stage. This has afforded her the ability to keep on the move as she goes from production to production, and given her some time to fight back against some of the worst criminal injustices that she has seen in her travels, not able to resist using her powers to help people in need.<\/p>\n

Design Notes: <\/strong>Seraana is built as a knight level character. Overt saber monkeys aren\u2019t my usual go-to with Force Sensitives in this game system \u2013 I tend to prefer building them with an additional depth, taking them into different directions that complement their basic lightsaber abilities. And so I put together the concept of a trained lightsaber duelist hiding in plain sight and keeping her saber skills sharp as a stage combat instructor. It gave her the mobility to move around the galaxy as she needed to fight against the injustices she was seeing and try to stay one step ahead of the Emperor and his Inquisitors. The two specializations don\u2019t have a lot of overlap from a talent perspective, but from a story perspective, there are a lot of things that play very nicely off of each other. There is still lots that can be gained from both Specializations as well as the Enhance and Sense Force powers as she continues to gain experience.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
