In the last podcast Az kicked out the idea of having a Slumbering Tsar campaign with a circular queue of players. When one player dies, the next player in the queue steps into his spot as part of the regular campaign.
I think this idea is very interesting and would like to explore its dynamics further. I'll start with some potential practical difficulties to this idea:
1) New players don't have any in-game or out-of-game frame of reference for what is happening.
Idea: players are all part of a mercenary guild that is being funded by a super rich NPC that is paying them to plunder Tsar. They send in-game missives back to the NPC detailing out where the are in the campaign, which are journaled in some internet system so everyone can keep up with how the plot is developing.
2) When a player dies half-way through a session, what happens?
3) What happens in the event of a TPK?
4) Is there a meta-game, ie, the player that has the longest running PC?
5) Others?

Tsar is composed of three parts. Each part could, in itself, be seen as an "Adventure Path", i.e. a series of thematically linked modules. The first part takes place in the wasteland around the city of Tsar, the second part takes place in the city, and the third part takes place in the massive temple of Orcus (demon god of undead). You can read a great review of Tsar here.
