Those that have unsubbed can play for free from April 13th to the 19th. If you re-sub after that, you also get the Taun-Taun pet as long as you resub before the 22nd.

Wow, yet another stupid decision from BioWare, what are they trying to do, be SOE?

Who knows BD.. I figured a # of hours would make more sense... not like they don't track that and it would include the altaholics.

Shrug... it is what is is.

I think its interesting that there is already a "movement" of dissenters who are calling customer support and bitching about being excluded from this deal due to not having a level 50 toon. I'm growing curious to see how BioWare resolves this next batch of unsatisfied customers. I'm starting to believe that people now see BioWare as weak after they gave into the demands of players for Mass Effect 3. Now the sharks are circling until they take a harder stance.

The growing dissatisfaction with BioWare has been brewing since 'DragonAge 2', actually -- I haven't actually gotten around to playing it yet, so I'm not too aware of what the issue is -- but it does seem like in the eyes of a very vocal segment of gamers, they keep dopping the ball.

The Level 50 only thing does seem like more than a small misstep though. I suspect they'll extend the free month of play to everyone who's had an active account since the game released in short order.

Huh, well I guess it could be worse.

Sounds like the 1.2 patch ate the guild banks this morning and everything that was put into them.

No, what was in the banks was still there. When you went to a vendor, it still showed all the funds next to the 'Guild Repair' option. Only the terminals were removed. Basically, with a few exceptions, the stations were reverted to how they were pre-1.2.

I used the past tense, of course, as all the servers came down 45 minutes after the patch was live for emergency maintenance.

So this was changed, the requirement now is Legacy Level 6 instead of a level 50 character. Much cleaner.

They've also changed the requirement so that you have to get that by April 22nd.
