I found this on the theorycrafting pages of Sithwarrior.com Hopefully our tanks can make some use out it.

"Well gee, Mr. Wizard; what does it all mean?" It basically means that stacking any given stat will eventually become pointless. The x axis of the graph indicates the rating you have from gear for that particular stat, and the y-axis shows how it translates into percentage points. I theorized a soft cap of 200 for all stats, but it seems like they all actually soft cap at different numbers. Now that I've done more looking around, it seems like the baseline rating to aim for on any given stat is whatever your gear level is (so 216 for the daily commendation gear.) EDIT: It also seems that Shield and Surge are switched on the graph in the original post. Either that, or their calculations for shield rating are way, way off. EDIT2: Nevermind, I forgot to factor in my class bonus (which isn't factored into the chart.) Their numbers on Shield chance are fine.

Perrian, you should link the thread on their website that this image came from. I'd like to see the discussion around it. Also, since the image you posted seems to be shrunk down a bit, and I'm having trouble with the colors on the legend.

Sithwarrior's theorycrafting is pretty awesome... I have linked to alot of their discussions in the PVE section of the Wiki

Nope, sorry. Looked at wall of text on something I have only a minor interest in and went away.
Anyone want to summarize it into something that does not make me fall asleep just by looking at it?

So have they found "optimal" gear mixes based on this? It would seem that mod swapping might come into play.

We will probably have to wait until combat logs are available before the numbercrafting can begin.
