This is Brian Darnell, Venture Lieutenant for Los Angeles. I just wanted to say, you seriously rock! Thanks for inspiring a cadett venture staffer to really make hard to help my VC to make a socal community that would make the norcallers proud to share a state with us. Thanks for the advice, inspiration, and entertainment your podcast continually provides. It was your podcast that got me looking to join the Pathfinder Society in the first place; if I hadn't have found it I never would have found the best gaming community for the world's greatest RPG!

I know I speak for all of the Podcast crew when I say that no greater thanks to us could ever be made or extended than by saying (and doing) this as a result of any of our own modest efforts.

See you on the VC/VL forums :)

And while you are at it -- poke Robyn to answer my latest post in the VC/VL forums concerning interview guests -- as that post was, in part, directed at Robyn (and perhaps yourself) :)

Thaks Brian. I know you made my day and I am sure Azmyth's, too :)

Thanks for the kindness and keep an eye out for our upcoming PFS special.

Let's rock a game at P-Con in July Bro!

Do you know what L.A. area stores are or will be hosting Pathfinder Society events?

There are a number of them. The Venture Captain in LA is Robyn Nixon and she would be better able to direct you. Mail to pfslacoordinator@gmail.com will find her and get you a full list of what's available, when and where.

I would note that OrcCon 2012 coming up this weekend (17th to 20th) is fearturing several slots of Pathfinder. More info here : http://warhorn.net/orccon-2012-pfs/

Game Empire in Pasadena has a large PFS scene, though I don't know if that is out of rech of you or not. Same with Emerald Knight in Burbank.

Thanks Steel, I just checked Paizo's sight and there does appear to be a lot more than the last time I looked there, although I didn't see anything for Game Empire. There was nothing either close to me or happening on a day where driving any distance would be practical. The community does seem to be growing, and that's good.

I regularly attend Orccon, but I'm too busy with other stuff to partake in any organized play there. That's a problem I created for myself, so I'm not complaining.

What tends to happen is that these events end up not being "renewed" on Paizo's system in terms of actual dates and then they expire. The organizers forget and as people are still showing up, it's not like it occurs to the organizer that their Paizo listing has expired.

Goggle is your friend. I do urge local Pathfinder Society groups and VCs to create webpages for their local group and use them. We use OntarioPathfinders.com for ours and update it two or three times a week. That way, potential players look and IMMEDIATELY see that there is a dynamic and ongoing group in the area and not some group that was ONCE operating and -- might be -- no longer is.

My VL Jeff would be more than willing to share his site template with those who ask. It is a Wordpress blog based template and extremely easy to use.

FYI
Game Empire's Pathfinder games are announced at the Pasadena D&D Meetup page. The next event is on March 3rd. Game signup is open a week before the event. - http://www.meetup.com/pasadena-dnd/events/51311772/

Emerald Knight in Burbank is currently not hosting any PFS. If you would like to organize PFS at this store call the store at 818-588-3631 and ask for Jason and if you need any assistance feel free to e-mail me at pfssocalhelp@gmail.com. Burbank is a little out of my range for regular games at the moment but if you need help running tables I can schedule a day I can come out.
