I'm just curious: is anyone out there a fan of Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game by Games Workshop? Of any other GW games?
Merry Christmas Eve!

I haven't gotten a chance to indulge myself, but I know several people that were big into Star Wars Minis in my area have recently gotten into that. I may have to pop down to the FLGS some weekend and check it out myself.

It's a really fun game (if a tad expensive). Plus, I just found out about a local tourney (Mayhem in the Mountains) so I might finall get a chance to get all my minis on the field for some hardcore gaming. And with the Hobbit movie coming...I can't wait for 2012. All though that end of the world thing might put a hitch in my plans

All GW games fall under the description of 'tad expensive.' I enjoyed it, but haven't played in a while. When I did, I supplied all the minis, I played at my FLGS when they had after hours gaming.

Definitely a fan. I'm making a big song and dance about getting on my rear and painting at least a set time each day. Right now my focus is my Gondor army (my favourite to play so far), after that, I may start work on my Isengard, of which I just have far too many. I've got a small collection of Warhammer 40K Orks, but I've never really got into it. I should give the game another chance, but I prefer how light LOTR is by comparison.

Yeah, I just finished painting my Gondor/Rohan army a few weeks ago. 48 Warriors of Minas Tirith (one converted to a Captain of Minas Tirith), 24 Warriors of Rohan, Thèodon mounted, Gandalf the Grey, Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas. Over 1,000 points in total.
