Hey gang,

May I make some further suggestions?

One thing I discovered in my STO fleets is that it can be a good idea to define specific positions. DarthGM originally suggested the following:

1: Guildmaster (Important note; there can only be one GuildMaster, per the Guiild Rank system, so only 1 person is getting this title at a time)
2: Senior Officer
3: Junior Officer
4: Veteran Member
5: Member
6: N00b Member
7: Recruit

However, since TOR lets you set up more ranks, I suggest we use that power. That said, here is my suggestion.
(Note I go lowest to highest)

1. Recruit - This rank is for new applicants that are on probation.
2. Junior Member - People that are beyond being recruited, but less that say 3 months in the guild. (Not sure we really need this frankly.)
3. Member - People that are members of the guild for over 3 months.
4. Senior Member - People that have been members for over 1 year.

Officer Break

5. General Officer Pool - These are the basic officers of the guild.
6. Senior Officers - These are the more experienced general officers

Guild leadership Break - The people above here are the high ranking guild leaders with appointed jobs. I believe that this will help people find who is in charge of what easier.

7. PvP Leader - This will be the person in charge of PvP
8. RP Leader - This would be the person in charge of RP
9. Crafting Leader - This person is in charge of crafting.

etc, etc, etc as needed. You could have class leaders and any other specific leader positions.

10. Vice Guild Leader - Kat
11. Guild leader - Fiddleback

So, that is my idea. Take it for what you will.

As an RPer, that wouldn't especially bother me. I think it would be cooler to have rank names with RP flavor, but I'm totally cool with it either way.

Yeah, I was not proposing those names for the ranks any more that DarthGM was in his initial list. I think it would be cool to have position names for the leader ranks however. Example: PvP lead - The Sword of Revan. (Sort of like the Sword of the Jedi.) We could do that for all ranks. I will try and work out some cool names later.

I like the idea of being "Wiffle Bat of Revan".

I'm one for a simple structure, but that is probably because I have seen too many guilds with overly complicated rank systems.

My suggestions of Crusader and Revanchist were directly inspired by the source material. Really, with the tight link to Revan, it's hard to avoid using Revanchist in some fashion. When you get right down to it, the entire backstory of the guild is a mythology constructed around Revan.

This is particularly true in light of the dictionary meaning of Revanchist (and revanche). Interestingly enough, both sides of the war can claim that they are trying to regain areas of space lost to the other side, so it can apply to both the Order of 66 and the Exiled Lords

Also, Fulongamer's suggestions with a bunch of "Re-" titles was pretty catchy (and just a bit cheesy). It could use a bit of refinement, but works better than I expected.

So, here's a revised suggestion of ranks, in ascending order of importance:
Nerf-Herder - Member on probation due to rule violations
Initiate - New member
Revanchist - Full member
Hand of Revan - Senior member
Crusader - Officer
Vigilant - Senior officer
Eye of Revan - Crafting Coordinator
Blade of Revan - PVP Coordinator
Voice of Revan - RP Coordinator
Heart of Revan - Deputy Guild Master
Soul of Revan - Guild Master

I originally had Vigilant and Hand of Revan switched, but AsaTJ was insistent about wanting Hand of Revan as a non-officer rank. And yes, if you count up the ranks, the dial does go to 11...

I like where Duncan and Fedifensor are going with this. I think we can combine the ideas here.

1: Guildmaster
2: Guildmistress

Let's be fair; FB? Kat? It's your title, make it what you want. We really can't stop you.


3. Quartermaster - Crafting Guild Leader
4. Marshal - PVP Lead
5. Ambassador or Emissary - RP Lead

These are my suggestions for the specific "Named Leads" for various departments in the Guild. Their responsibilities outside of their "domains" are the same as the Guild Officers.

6. Protector - Guild Officers

Same permissions as 3-5, effectively

7. Hand of Revan - Senior Guild Member, promoted through length of membership or exceptional service to the Guild
8. Revanchist or Crusader - Member
9. Nerf-Herder - Recruit

No, I'm not going to stop suggesting the name...
