I just let my gaming group to listen to the podcast because their ship was covered in Landos.... the lady playing the groups Noble who has an credit based relationship with the ship's captain replied

"So, do they cover tips on making nice with your Noble so she feels that modding the ship is a better way to spend her credits than further tricking out her Girrrrrrrrrrl Robot?"

Once I cleaned up the mess from snorting my soda I had to ask permission to share.

Easy answer: Better Ship = better jobs. Better jobs = more money. More money = better Girrrrrrrrrrl Robot. (More money also = MORE Girrrrrrrrrrl Robots. Just sayin.) ;)

This is an episode that could really benefit from show notes. Anyone have the links they talked about? I was at work when I listened to the show and don't have 'net access.

Loved the show, guys.
I'd like to add a couple notes:
1. Screen Monkey is a great VTT. Only 25 bucks for the GM to get the software, and the players use their web browsers to play on.
2. The sound effects I use in my show are rips from the Galaxies game. The posting for these gigabites of sfx is gone, but the info to retrieve sfx from your games can be found at http://theforce.net/fanfilms/postproduc ... /index.asp

Great show again, guys. Lando's Shipyard and the Fat Racqueteer ( :~: ) slots were as awesome as ever. I was wondering where I could find RichterBelmont's stat blocks, though.

Keep up the great work.

Hey I just wanted to chime in. For an awesome free solution Dolby Axon is amazing when it comes to voice chatting for any kind of gaming. If 1 person pays the options that open up are even better. divideable areas for dragging players aside, even some creative GMs will be able to use the area map for interesting voice effects for RP (it tracks where you are in relation to other people and has directional voice) also FREE.

When the vent server got to be too much this became our best friend AXON is the way to chat for games.

Great show guys. I have run several online games and when you cant get a good group of people locally this is the best option. Im even playing in the Pathfinder game being run by a certain lil Lass of the D20radio boards. There are several good sites you can go to recruit for online groups.

http://www.thetangledweb.net
http://www.penandpapergames.com

and of course go to the website of whatever game your interested in playing as most of them have a recruitment section, often full of people looking for online games.

Personally I prefer maptools. Cant beat free and the ease of play there is awesome.

I may have to get a microphone and try an online game sometime. My local friends can't get a coordinated schedule to actually play anything. :(

A couple other gaming programs for your gm laptop. They are all by a company called nbos. First is the keep. It is a campaign management tool that works kind of like a wink. But you can import pic, sounds, files, and maps. Second is astrosynthesis, it allows you to map out star systems. There is actually a star war galaxy map out there for it. Both are great products, which run about $30.
