As the LT. and Miraluka Jedi head off, JR pops up from his hopeless attempt at getting a second of shut eye and goes over to quiz SGT. Perrian...

"So what's the hold-up here Sarge? The damn Sith are landing more troops and supplies every cycle.... The more we sit, the worse our odds get. And another thing, we gotta....."

JR begins to trail off as his eyes drift to the young woman relatively nearby who he just notices for the first time. Turning and walking away from SGT. Perrian mid sentence, JR approaches Treena, and exercising his best gentlemanly mannerisms, removes his hat, bows slightly, and produces a most charming and scoundrel smile.

"Why hello there... JR Devol at your service, fastest draw you never saw. So, what's a lady like yourself (he quickly looks her up and down, but is sure she notices despite his best attempt to feint her attention off of his eyes) doing down here in a dump like this volunteerin' with all these grunts? (JR glances her over again, this time paying more attention to the mundane details, and realizes she must be a medic of some sort)

The Jedi returns appearing deep in thought and somewhat forlorn.

"Well Pendle's other half brought up a good point when he was on walk about outside Pendle's head... and I think its worth considering... This is an agricultural moon... Why are the Imps so damn interested... sure they got to eat.. but aint it a bit odd to have such a heavy military presence just to deal with farmers?"

Accepting that a dirty look is the only response he is going to provoke out of Treena, JR turns back to SGT. Perrian, still chuckling a bit.

"Yeah I guess little 'Pistolwhip" does have a few good points fightin' their way out of him, so I'm with ya that the kid's gotta 'nother pretty good one. Don't know what it all means, and I'm not sayin' that I trust the little twerp, but I'm all for doing a little snoopin'round to see if we can find a more indirect way to deal with these Sith bastards."

"Yah took the word right out of my head... a little poking around by the less militarized folks here should turn up some clues as to what they are after... "

((Just a note, guys- I know some of you have mentioned being worried about delaying the "main story." Really, don't worry about it. The purpose of this thread is to get you all familiar and comfortable with interacting in an RP environment similar to what we'll see in the game, so just have fun. That said, I'll be moving along to the next "step" of the story some time tomorrow, so finish up anything you want to do in the current scene before then.))

Pulling himself out whatever mental conundrum he was in, Darian regains his steely composure.

“Ok so I guess it’s time to get this proverbial party started?“

Slight pause, looks around room for any more late comers, “JR if you’re ready we can try to acquire those mine’s, if that’s still the plan.”

"Well, Pendle's suggestion has got me and the SGT. second guessing that course of action in favor of a more indirect approach."

Shifting his attention from Derian to Lt. Thoror,

"Derian and I could investigate Pendle's theory, that is if y'all trust him."

he continues as he scours their faces for any signs of dissaproval.

Thoror shakes his head.

"I think there's merit to the suggestion. Why they've got so many troops here is something I've been asking myself for days. But that doesn't change the fact that, right now, we need supplies. We'll proceed with the original plan to hit the convoy. Once that's out of the way, we can regroup and talk about doing some recon. One thing at a time. We can't afford to overreach."

Looking over to SGT. Perrian with eyes open wide,

"Well its settled then."

He then throws up a friendly slap to the back of Derian's shoulder.

"Are you ready for this pard'ner? Time to saddle up..."

JR looks around and becomes emboldened by the doubt filling the room regarding his and Derian's mission to secure the mines.

"We'll be back with those mines, don't you worry your pretty little heads about it...."

Sgt. Perrians nods his head to the Lt.

"I'll get the Scouts out on location while the others find us some mines. Best to know the true lay of the land and any schedule the Sith convoys have."

The Sgt. goes over to his troopers and after a short talk a pair of camoflauged troopers break off and begin prepping their gear.

"They will head out after dark and then keep quiet and hidden until we meet up with them."
