Issue 53 - More Rambo than Legolas RFI returns once again to give you your weekly fix of old school gaming goodness. This week, we talk about a class that is one part Legolas and one part Rambo, the Ranger. Our next segment involves segments as we break down the rules for actions in combat. The Pech appears in our Creature Feature Theater and we find a Braizer of Commanding Elementals in the Dragon's Hoard in this weeks issue of Roll for Initiative. BTW, guys, I understand you are out to hype up your OSR-Gaming forums and want to direct all inquiries and responses to all three of your podcasts there......but no, not really interested.
I already have too many forums to keep up with, and I'm not the only one posting here for RFI, SoD, or THACOs Hammer. Getting INTO those other forums and finding your episode threads was a pain, we here also have that friendly, no-drama-good-info community of gamers, and D20radio supports file uploads/downloads.
I found you guys from here in D20Radio, with all of my other gaming needs, and am happy to drive on with that the status quo.

Making an "all-in-one" Elemental control magic item is an incredibly easy concept. You want a forge.
Earth: The ore that goes into the forge. Air: The bellows that feeds the forge Fire: Duh, the fire in the forge Water: The quenching cistern for items drawn from the forge.
And even better, this could be the magical artifice item that a BBEG Magic User would use in the crafting of dire items of power.....like rings..... (9, 7, 3, 1)
If for whatever reason you can't get behind your mages acting all smith-y (though I wouldn't know why, those magic weapons and armors have to come from someone), an alternate all-in-one Elemental Control station would be a Kiln.
Earth: The clay that goes into the kiln. Air: The bellows that feeds the kiln fires. Fire: The fire heating the kiln. Water: The water used in softening/shaping the clay.

I found you guys from here in D20Radio, with all of my other gaming needs, and am happy to drive on with that the status quo. Its easier to find RFI, SOD and TH on OSRGAMING then here, they each have a main forum. You click on that, and there is the stuff about the show. If you are a new person its simple to find it. Unlike here where its buried in a subforum, which many people complain about when we tell them to go here.

I'll admit that it was whatever quagmires you guys were straddling prior to OSRG, but it turned me off because it was "login to forum...no, not actually this one, but this other site completely, no, not really here but deep over here". Unlike here where it is plainly labled on the front-page of the forums among all the other Tabletop RPG Podcasts. Pull up the main forums page, click on the Podcast you want. 1 deep. I wouldn't begrudge your right to have a "Center Stage" presentation over there where you can be the only players in the pond, Order 66 does it here because they were first and yes, over here you are only 3 of the 15+ Podcasts on the Network (20% - ish). But hey, there is strength in numbers. Member of the Gamernation and all that. It's why they evolved away from "The Order 66 Podcast Site" to "The D20Radio Network". Bringing it back to this RFI Issue, Are you podcasting by the Ranger Rule Of 3? Can't have more than 3 podcasts co-hosted on a site?

oh trust me. When I speak to people, I direct them to our forums, and I also tell them, stop by d20radio.com forums, because there is a ton of great podcasts there, not only gaming, but online gaming and there is even a whole bunch of non-gaming podcasts there too. I am happy to be here. thus is why you see only me posting here. Dave and Chris gave me a shot, not once, but twice and then bringing in two other podcasts. When we decided to pull up anchor and migrate to one forum, I fought to keep the D20 radio forums, because I feel a loyality to here. I don't listen to many podcasts anymore, due to my job keeps me moving constantly. I am a level 2 Tech now, supporting 400 users by myself, so I am running around a lot. When I do listen, its basically two shows, O66 and Major Spoilers.
