In this episode we look at the Journey to Black Fire Pass Adventure, we discuss what we like, what we don’t like and we also give guidelines for adapting other adventures to your preferred wfrp edition. We also dive into the listener mail bag and answer a question from jormi_boced, and here about an interesting campaign being run by Dean Mottershead.

The journey to blackfire pass adventure can be found here
And have a look on the d20 radio forums for my conversions of the characters to 2nd edition rules in the event you want to run this adventure with that eddition

Interesting show oldscool, and I appreciate your sympathy. :)

One thing though, it's particulary hard to hear Schubudha in various spots in this episode. Should we be sending donations of caffeine his direction? :)

I will try to speak up a bit, but I think I am the victim of mini gacks from Skype.

Dean:
There were extended critical charts in the GM screen put out by Hogshead. Unfortunately these seem to be quite expensive, if you can find it all.

Great show.

As a player of 3rd edition glad to see you giving it some attention. I think you would be pleasantly surprised if you gave the actual game a try. Maybe when the book format comes out.

I like the current set with the components but agree they should have been an option from the start with books containing all the information in one easy to access place.

If you like blackfire pass you should take a look at The Gathering Storm, I think you can get the PDF of the main adventure book from drivethru rpg.

The main adventures they are doing have lots of player hand outs as well.

The adventure I am currently running in 3rd edition is set in Marionburg and has all grown out of the characters that were randomly drawn and the backgrounds the players created. There is very little combat, mostly stealth and roleplay and the system handles it all very well.

I always find it hard to hear Shubudha on the podcast don't know if it's the mic levels (or if Old School is just so loud) :o)

great stuff, glad to see 3rd ed get some treatment, and some appreciation of the FFG work! Good content as well, as I have converted Rough Night for 3rd ed, and am thinking about running Thousand Thrones / something else for the new version...

looking forward to the next episode!
