Noted from the Multiplayer demo/interview from 2010/E3 (G4 coverage) there appears to be a Twi-Lek and a Mon Calamari "party member" of the group demoing the multiplayer battle scenario. The Mon Cal definitely appeared to be a full-on Republic Trooper, so NOT a companion.

It looked like the Mon Cal was the quest giver, briefing them on their assignment, but i'm gonna watch the video again double check. but the Twi'lek was hands down a party member.
