This week we swerve to avoid a blitz and discuss how to use the WFRP rules to play games in the Blood Bowl universe and how to include Blood Bowl into your regular WFRP games.
So grab yourself a Bloodwiser and turn up your DiE-Pod for this sports filled show.

Great fun.

Blood Bowl was always a favourite when we didn't have room for 40k or Warhammer Fantasy Battles back in the day out would come Blood Bowl.

Games Workshop are responsible for some of the best board games around.
Space Hulk
Talisman
Blood Bowl

Hey guys,

So, you got me to listen to the show even though I don't play Warhammer Fantasy RPG. How you ask. Simple...

BLOOD BOWL!!!!

Ah, what a wonderful game it is. my friends got me hooked on it and I have ran the leauge among my friends for several years. Currently we are on hiatus sadly. I have a great Amazon team (the Seseame Sisters) and also my all time favorite Skaven team. (Gutter runners for the win!) Our league is a lot of fun with other colorful teams like the Fist of Slaine (or something chaos), the Booger Makers (orkies), and The Flying macaroni brothers (halfings with treemen.) I highly recommend the game if you have not played.

The world of Blood Bowl is great too. I guess I never realized that it was different from base Warhammer Fantasy. I love all the puns as well. The bloob bowl books by Matt Forsbeck were great too. (Poorly editied however, but good story.)

I think it was cool to hear you discussing running the RPG in the blood bowl setting. I think that could be a lot of fun.

Thanks for an intersting podcast. Good luck on finding a topic for next week. ;)

Thanks,
Duncan

Suggestions for next week.

I would like to hear some advice on GMing Warhammer, how do you maintain the flavour of the old world.

Reviews of some of the published adventures -
Ashes of Middenheim throught to Forges of Nuln

Thousand Thrones

etc.

A detailed review of the information released so far on 3rd edition (I know you would love to do that and would be completely unbiased  )

Just some thoughts.

Andy

Many ways to merge the Blood Bowl 'verse with your WFRP adventurers. You can actually be players, you can be owners, you can be minions working all the behind-the scenes game cheats (ploting, wizarding, sabotage, and other nefarious goings on) you can be agents of causing problems or agents hired to stop disruptions. They can work for the teams/owners or they can work for the massive Nuffle complex governing the game/tournament and administration.

Game on needs to address this game in detail, and The Minus World needs to address the electronic applications (Blood Bowl old version, new vresion, and "alternate" version "Chaos League")

The puns in the game are epic, the fun of the game is undeniable, and the possibilities for play are limited by your imagination. Don't forget the expansions for Blood Bowl play such as DungeonBowl. Heck, have your classic WFRP players in a deep dungeon crawl stumble into the middle of a match!

Just a quick update gang,

The Blood Bowl PC and Xbox 360 game just came out in North America back in February. I just got a copy over the week and it rocks! I think the implementation of the game is exactly what is published in Living Rule Book 5.0. Further more the color commentaty in the game seems to really capture the Old World Blood Bowl world. I highly recommend the game if you like Blood Bowl.

thanks,
Duncan
