This is Aurthion as of Current ( 7/22/2012 ) If I hit my rotation I am also applying a constant 5% DR debuff to the mob. ( 5% accuracy, which is equivalent to 5% more defense. )

That is sick... just sick.
I think the reality of the shadow tank nerf is going to continue to smack us around hardcore in HM EC for quite awhile after looking at this. I mean, Aurth can clearly handle real tanking in that zone. He is sitting at 10.2K armor and I am at 6.1k armor and am at my max possible rating. His defense rating (the best current type of rating for raid bosses after actual armor DR) is also 2% better than mine. So he is dodging more attacks and taking A LOT LESS damage when full hits get through. My shield chance is only 5% higher than his against mobs (because Kinetic Ward comes down uber fast in mobs) and pointless against big boss attacks because they blow right through our shields with special attacks (nearly all of their attacks). My shield absorption is way higher than his, but doesn't matter because shield mechanics are essentially broken (functioning as intended), especially against ops bosses. Sure I have cool downs, but so does he, and his string of them is actually quite formidable.
So, with our respective DR numbers, Guardians are going to handle ACTUAL HITS (meaning not mitigated through shield/absorb or defense) way better than my class. With his rating, he takes 46% of incoming damage on unmitigated hits and I take 60%. At a little under 1,000 points of damage from an attack, this makes us about even IF I can maximize my self heals. However we all know that actual incoming DPS at endgame raids is anything but 1,000 DPS. The gap only grows per additional incoming 1,000 DPS as well. This is of course, before healing from healers, because we should assume that HPS from healers is equivalent if the tanks are supposedly equivalent in their own right before factoring in external assistance. What it means to healers is that if I am on my self-healing rotation, then I need an additional 40 HPS from external heals to equal the Guardian's full hit damage mitigation PER 1,000 points of incoming DPS. If I am off my self heal rotation (stuns, knockbacks, interrupts), it can be as much as 175 HPS extra to a shadow from an external healer PER 1,000 points of incoming DPS to keep the shadow even. This is just to level out our damage taken, not to actually heal us back up.
It's so ridiculously not close to the supposed 5% target windows for different classes, I can't even believe Bioware is TRYING to claim that the classes are equivalent in terms of "hitting their targets". My only thought is they are planning armor nerfs for the other tanks in the future as well and just taking the nerf bat out one class at a time, as would be normal for any team to do.
What does this mean for us in HM EC? I don't know. I certainly don't want to ask the group to face grind their repair bills into Toth and Zorn if my class in max armor gear can't handle it week after week. I guess we'll find out. I added about 60 armor rating since last week for an additional 0.25% DR, but I am at my max. Actual damage received will get no better than it currently is via DR.

This is deffently interesting I was playing with askmrrobot armory with my jedi consular tank and trying different options but the best i can do is 39% damage reduction but thats with 27 mods and enhancements. I know I've been out of the game with my jedi so i still gatta relearn all my stats all over again. I know lastnight i ran a hard mode with a couple of people from the group and i was getting smacked arround hard out of practace i guess.
