This is an Early heads up that July 17th I will not be here. I need someone to volunteer to lead. We have an Alt tank for that week on the roster but need to verify that he is available.

I am going to be traveling and not able to make Tuesday, July 3rd. Sorry for the short notice.

Can someone step up to lead, and reach out to the alt tank please?

After discussing with the raid we have a couple of changes to make and figured this would be a good spot for them.

Line up and time - Sunday's Best is nearing story mode EC in progression ( probably a couple weeks off ). We share a couple of members with them. Aieranda, Allandria, Oznah, and Bacon. Oz and Bacon are taking their other characters for this so that are somewhat protected from this overlap.

Sunday's Best has said that the overlapping members ( with only one character for that role ) will have to chose which raid to run with, and I leave that choice to you guys. You are amazingly skilled players and it will be tough to replace you if we have to.

(Going off the verbal commitments from last night ) Donol will be in need of a good tank and a DPS to replace Allandria and Aieranda on Sunday afternoons. Tarnen, we thought that getting you a solid rotation in another raid that could benefit from your skills would be better than the hit of miss of the current rotation in this raid. What do you think?

Loot - Due to the change in how gear is awarded in hard mode I am purposing the use of a slightly different system for loot distribution. It will involve a little bit of consideration and focus on gear out the lowest pieces of the raid so that we can help the raid as a whole. Here is my idea. ( feel free to suggest modification, or a completely different idea ).

1. Loot piece for Chest and Hands drop.
2. The chest is linked into raid
3. Everyone then posts their average rating for that item ( aka the average of the mod, enhancement, and armoring - 56, 58, 61 )
4. The lowest averages roll.

The reasoning behind this is that several people are still rocking Columi in a couple places ( Aurthion's offhand and legs ), or Tionese ( Kolavere's Hilt ). These give the best bang for the buck on the upgrades for the raid as a whole.

For non set pieces and armoring - I believe that we are more than capable of putting these in the best hands possible for the raid in a fair and friendly manner.

1. Consular healing armoring drops
2. Discussion on who needs, and what armoring they are upgrading with it.
3. Armoring is awarded - or rolled off by those healers that cannot agree/have equal need.

From my point of view I like the idea of lifting up the low gear slots first cause it will benefit the Operation over all more than giving slight upgrades to others.. It will in general benefit our progression more and success means more gear overall for everyone.

And with that said unless someone can give me some good reasoning I'm going start bringing Perrian instead.. His utility is better(as is his average dps) and the only thing we are really losing is the giant shield which we shouldn't need assuming we do the EC fights right.

thoughts?

I like the idea of this; however, I believe that we should add a bit more weight to the level of the armoring/hilt/barrel grade. As they are slot specific so the ability to transfer them between items is much lower than a mod or enhancement.

The other thing that I hope I won't come off selfish saying is that I would content that all offhands go to dual wielders to use in both their OH and MH. My reasons for this are: 1) by transfering the hilt/barrel from a Campaign OH to their current MH the overall gain is higher and 2) the black hole gear set has no item that to fill an OH slot for a dual wielder so a OH campaign drop is currently the only way to upgrade.

Just my 2 cents.

Not selfish Oz... and its probably one the best way to give you a significant boost in DPS... and really its just you...<wink> Not like all of us can do that.

I have compared the stats on the campaign gear set for sentinels and the only pieces I have interest in for Oznah are the Offhands/Mainhands and the gloves as nearly all the rest of the gear has tanking armorings. Once everyone else is set I'd like to get a set boots to use the armoring for Oznah's overall aesthetics while maintaining my 2 piece set bonus.

I've also looked it over and the only pieces I 'need' for campaign are legs and mainhand, although I'd also like a head slot for looks eventually. I will flat out refuse hand and boot slots until everybody has them but would take a chest slot.

Do we want to get the significant progress point down for the EC we have open prior to reset? I'm good for tonight.
