Do we need to recruit? Do we disband? I know I am loyal to the fleet until the end.

I'd rather not mothball the fleet, we are small but we're mostly active. Right? Or am I just delusional in this pre coffee state?? Do we want to set up a recruitment drive? Do we want to plan a fleet event (I hear them Gorn are always getting together )? Anyone got ideas? ...ideas that are related to this that is

recruitment drive I would think. I see a few people I have never met before on from time to time and they do not talk in fleet chat when I say greetings and usually log off.

OK ideas? Know anyone we can pull in? Think we can get new folks without losing all our swag in the bank?

like we did to someone who was a trusted fleet member? I do not know. I have not hung out with anyone recently with me leveling my new science officer (and SO's kick butt btw) and everything is pretty easy until I want to do some of the group content.
We lost some good people when the major RP'ers left

Frankly, with the Order of 66 starting and the huge growth of the Gorn fleet, I don't have the time or energy left to do a major recruitment. My personal opinion is that we should seriously look at merging with another fleet. I was leaning toward Jupiter Force, since they are also Podcast Affiliated much like we were. They are the fleet from STOked and seem like good guys. Just my thought. Don't get me wrong, I love the 66th fleet, but without All STOP there is no draw on the D20 Network for Star Trek fans.
Thanks, Duncan

With all that's going on in D20 land, and real life, I play STO when I can. However, my play time certainly isn't what I'd consider "frequent". To that end, if anyone wanted to step up and take charge of the 66th Fleet, I am willing to hand the reigns of the fleet to someone who was willing to "Go Boldly". If the active players wish to move out their main toons to another Fleet, that's fine too. Personally, I'm not in favor of folding the Fleet. I don't feel there's a reason to. Empty out the vaults, transfer to new fleets, that's all well and fine, but to discard the 66th Fleet likely won't happen. The Fleet will stay around. Moving the bulk of the active characters to Jupiter Force may not be a bad idea though, as it will give you someone to play with on a regular basis. So, have at it folks. Go, play, have fun.

Myself, I can manage to play once or maybe twice a week. Often for only a single mission at a time. I won't even hazard to pretend that I've brought in a single recruit, or completed an STF. Because well, time ain't easy to come by in our house these days.
I'd like to Not mothball the 66th Fleet, but we can move characters we want to this new fleet. Or just make a new toon to play with them. Whichever, maybe some of both. It's not like Cryptic is hurting for fleet server space after all.

Well, if it is going to go away, Jupiter Force would be a good place to go, or the fleet that Este joined.

Hey gang,
I went and checked out Jupiter Force a bit by reading their forum some. Now I am not so sure they are a good fit for us. They seem a bit too hard core for our tastes. Not that they do not accept Casual/RP type gamers, but they are very focused on their show (surprise) and reviewing new content right away. Still might be interesting, but probably not what I was hoping for at least.
I will keep looking and if I find someone that I think would be good fit, maybe a merger can be arranged. How would people feel about that? Merging the 66th and some other casual fleets?
Thanks, Duncan

Personally, I'm against a merger. If folks want to migrate their toon to another fleet, sure. But I'd prefer that the 66th Fleet be left behind. I'm ok with the Bank getting a bit of a raid for the new fleets (Dram's Tribble Emporium doesn't need to go out of business does it?). But, please leave the 66th in Memorial to what it once was (or at least to what my insane nostalgic brain thinks it once was).
Not like Cryptic needs the server space right?

I was more thinking of trying to get another fleet to join our fleet. Why not try for the best. How does that work for you? It would be a bunch of new people, but not from here. Thanks, Duncan
