To Admiral Miav Reed and Admiral Thirty-One,

Hello Admirals. This is Captain Veda Corsten. I just wanted to let you know about something that recently happened. I was on one of the first missions on my new ship and I thought extra help wouldn't hurt. I ran into Lt. Alex Demidov and he told me that he's been interested in working with the 66th Fleet, well of course I took him along. It wasn't the first time he's been of great help with something! Long story short, we survived the mission but I also saw in Alex that he puts his fears aside and does what he needs to do. He's always told me his main job has been working on starships at spacedock, but that he hoped to some day explore more of the stars but maybe he wasn't ready to be a ship captain. Well, you two are both really skilled engineers.. you've done it all and know what it takes. Maybe you could mentor him.. help him reach that dream of not only building the ships but flying one too? Of course I don't know how assignments get decided, but if there's no ship for him to command and he ends up needing a place to work.. I'd gladly take him on the USS Onca, he's one of the few engineers that Mervin gets along with and he really was good at computer programs. He says it's all basic engineer stuff and he's no one special, but that's why I wanted to tell you two admirals about all of this.. because in my experience the admirals of the 66th work with us young ones and make us special.

the thing is I don't really know specifically where Rp is to be posted
None of the forum descriptions actually say 'put Incharacter stuff here'
and I've seen it different times in different spaces

I know Alex wants to join fleet (I can actually let him in sometime if that's okay but I've also heard there's a week trial period of playing along with other fleet members before someone should be accepted. just to make sure I'm not overstepping my permissions I don't want to join anyone without expressed permission)
In past roleplays with Alex he's talked to Veda a lot about what he does now and what he wants to do
she's done probably three missions he's been involved in and then just spoken to him on spacedocks various other times, she also knows that Reed and 31 are engineers with rank and skill in the fleet so she's just trying to alert the higher-ups about this new kid that has a desire to do more but isn't completely confident he can.. he told her he's too new to starfleet and if someone wants him to do more they will tell him. OOC I know he wants it to be up the Rp with others where his character ends up. His current Rp is that he works on ships in spacedocks.

Just slap my hands with a ruler and tell me what to do!

Ha ha you need a mentor? Hrm... well I always say it's best to have a trial by fire. This Alex will get his own ship and he shall learn how to be captain one way or another. I've seen his record and he should easily be able to handle it. It might be harsh but he won't learn any other way in my opinion. Of course if 31 wants to try a different tactic... I'll be up for suggestions. - Admiral Reed
