Now that Dannae's about to make it off Tython, I've been giving more thought to whether I want to stick with my original plan and take the Sage advanced class. I do love Healers in tabletop & PbP Star Wars games, so thought all along I'd give it a try for my first SWTOR character. Also I still have trouble sometimes manipulating the controls in combat*, another reason to take the healer role, especially now when I have the Companion Qyzen to do the heavy-hitting.
But having a double-bladed lightsaber also appeals to me. (If I opt for Sage for Dannae, I'll just do the Sith Assassin option, when I create an Inquisitor alt; another longterm plan of mine, as Revan_the_2nd seemed to have so much fun with that storyline.)

So, looking for any tips, suggestions, voices of experience before making that decision. (& yes, I did look at the video)

*I swear I'm getting better at this--pay no attention to Revan_the_2nd rolling his eyes when he reads this post.

I don't really play much outside of a DPS sage, but I can tell you that the Healing Sage is very helpful in both PvE and PvP. If you are really into healing, than I think a healing spec is the way to go.

If you go Shadow, you can say goodbye to healing pretty much, as your focus will either be Melee tanking or Melee DPS.

I am a big Sage fanboy, so my vote is always sage.
