So now that I've read up on the time period, played a few levels, and spent some time with my character, I've at last finalized most of the details for my main Jedi Knight, Tir-Jin Meteos. Here is a brief timeline of the updated bio. Feel free to introduce your character here as well! We have a section on the guild site for it here, but it takes some time to click through all those pages, so I'm hoping this can be something that you can quickly browse to get an idea of whom your guildies are RPing.

I'm keeping this purposely vague so you can meet him and find out his story for yourself.

-Born to humble farmers on Alderaan 16 years before the Treaty of Coruscant, at the height of the Great War.
-Identified as Force-sensitive and shipped off for training at age 5 (11 BTC.)
-Trained with Jedi Master Kaltus Vohr, a renowned saber duelist.
-Passed the trials and attained the rank of Knight at age 17, one year after the Treaty of -Coruscant and the Jedi retreat to Tython.
-As of the start of the game (10 years After the Treaty of Coruscant,) Tir-Jin is 26, a freshly-minted master, and a noted Jedi artificer. He instructs students on Tython in lightsaber construction.

Details of Tir-Jin's Padawan are not yet finalized, and anyone interested in taking on that role is welcome to PM me about it.

I haven't gotten a proper bio up, but here's the gist of it for my main, Rydia:

-Born 14 years before the Treaty of Coruscant.
-Was discovered to be Force sensitive at a very young age and left in the care of the Jedi. For that reason, she doesn't have much more than the vaguest of memories of her parents - her only memento of them is a small, silver pendant.
-The war loomed over her childhood, coming to a head during the Sith attack on the Temple on Coruscant.
-Rose to the rank of Jedi Knight several years after her arrival on Tython, following her efforts to uncover relics of Tython's past.
-During her search, a Jedi holocron reacted with her pendant, causing an entirely different holocron guardian to appear. This guardian - a woman named Raegan Meridian - claimed to be her ancestor. She had been the leader of a powerful sect of Force users over 300 years prior that had rejected the strict regiments of the Jedi and the self-serving lust for power of the Sith.
-These ideas left her beliefs shaken, and, in the back of her mind, she began to question the Jedi.
-Currently, Rydia is 24, still a Jedi Knight tasked with seeking ancient knowledge. Still, she doesn't know whether she seeks it for the Order or to satisfy her own curiosity.

Backstory:
-Raised on a minor Mid Rim world as a trader
-At the age of sixteen, he ran afoul of the Black Sun and was subsequently captured.
-A year later, he managed to escape but was captured and tortured not long after by an Imperial Inquisitor seeking knowledge of Revan for reasons unknown.
-Eventually escaped the Inquisitor and found refuge with the Order of 66
- Since then, Deel has been working as a Smuggler.


I'm going to flesh out the details more once I get a chance to actually play the game.

Current background for Niobe:

Niobe was raised from birth until the age of 10 in Mirial, a cold and dry planet. Her parents moved her from that point to one of the more colonized planets, Tatooine, where her father had designs to be a moisture farmer. He had heard there was a fortune in it (He never made a penny).

Niobe hated the change, moving from a cold climate to one so hot. It was there she acquired human adopted brother, Telpie, when her father came home one day with the boy. Niobe never learned the reason why her father took the boy in, but she assumed it was for some form of financial gain. It took several months for her to get used to her new brother, but they became inseparable within a year.

Thanks to her childhood, and their family barely surviving thanks to her father’s wild ideas, Niobe searched endlessly for a way to escape and make money. She had her choice, either find some rich senator to marry, or make her way on her own. She had heard stories about the dancers on Coruscant making hundreds of credits a night and living a glorious life. So she saved up all her money and took off to Coruscant, her brother in tow.

The moment she arrived she found a flier for an audition for a dancing gig. She knew this was her opportunity to make her living and she was determined to be the dancer they picked. On her way, being as she didn’t know Coruscant, she found herself in the wrong district. The warehouse she entered was that of a smugglers haven. Rather than admitting that she was lost, she fibbed about her job and found herself doing a smuggling job.

She refused to admit that she was wrong, and thus began her smuggling career. The only thing that kept her there was the money and the potential for more credits. She always maintained her dream of becoming an exotic dancer for rich clients who would shower her in gifts.

One night, while relaxing in the bar of Nal Hutta, she notices a flier for amateur dancer tryouts. She was thrilled and signed herself up. During her dance, she noticed a burly man eyeing her more than the others. Once her dance was finished, she moved in to speak with him. Several drinks and hours later, she and Koron were standing in line for their shotgun wedding.

It was only after the first few days of being married that they both realized who they truly married. This was a traumatizing realization, but they both chose to remain together, despite their lack of understanding of each other.

Notable Reprimands: Vakland has one count of disobeying a direct order, during an operation on which he elected to take into custody several civilians that his superiors deemed dangerous enough to warrant immediate termination. The Lieutenant was given a brief suspension without pay, and a hold has been placed on his advancement to the rank of Captain. No further penalties were levied, in light of his otherwise spotless service record.

Avvin Vakland was born on Corellia into an upper-middle-class setting. His parents both had low-stress, high-paying jobs, and could afford to send Avvin to the best schools. He repaid this by being a perpetual problem student, never able to focus on his classes long enough to do well in them.

With his academic career perpetually hovering just above the failure mark, he elected to enter the Republic Youth Officer Training Corps at the earliest age possible. The military really turned Avvin around, and rounded out his lack of self-discipline. By the time he reached the age of early enlistment, his parents gladly signed off for him and sent him off on a Republic cruiser to his training unit.

Still reeling from the Great War, the Republic was in great need of officers, and Avvin proved him self well able to fill a gap. He earned the rank of Sergeant barely a year after his first deployment, and became a commissioned Lieutenant less than two years after that. He served much of his early career on the front lines of Ord Mantell, later transferring to Balmorra to aid the resistance there undercover.

Avvin has completed the Republic's most intensive SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape) courses, even qualifying to teach them to newer recruits. He currently serves in one of the Republic SpecForCom's SAR (Search And Rescue) squads, specializing in aerial insertion and extraction operations.

On the job and off, Avvin tends to see no obstacle as too large. He enjoys joking around, but when there are lives at stake, he's all duty. He is also a True Believer in the ideals of the Republic, and will go to extreme lengths to protect its citizens.

Still fleshing out details of Gaven's backstory in my head, so I'll update this post as necessay.

- Born to traditional mirialan parents, on one of the larger, more diverse planets. Something other than Corruscant.
- Rejected mirialan spiritual beliefs in his mid-teens, which often puts him at odds with his parents, but they have an otherwise healthful relationship.
- Took an intrest in science, and specifically biology, in school.
- Trained to become a paramedic after school.
- After a few years, decided he wanted to see the wider galaxy. Joined an organization similar to Médecins Sans Frontières. I'll have to figure out if such an organization exists in 'Star Wars' already, or make one up.
- Saw a lot of terrible things during his time aiding those who found themselves on the front line of the war between the Republic and the Empire, giving him a rather dim view of both governments. Over the years he's developed a bit of a nihilistic world view, and a keen appreciation for gallows' humour.

-Born into an echani dynasty that was founded by an ally of the original Order of 66
-Started Jedi training at the age of 6, trained by his uncle Karel
-Lost most relatives to the Empire, he is the last of his bloodline, but keeps in touch with other survivors like his butler droid and his adopted twilek sister Tigranya.
-After his knighting, he swears to crush the Empire and rebuild his dynasty, though he is not so sure about the means. The Force spirit of his namesake and ancestor manifests before him offering to teach him.
-Zain joins forces with the descendants of the Order of 66 to defeat the Empire.

-is dynamic, often reckless: He rather deals with a problem than talks about it, and Force leaps into combat without thinking about his personal safety.
-has a sense of honor: Space Samurai Jedi
-is slightly arrogant: "I haven't yet met a creature that could stand up to me."
-is an out of the box thinker: Presented with two options he might choose a third
-favors attack over defese: Mastered the juyo and ataru lightsaber forms and fights with two lightsabers. Rather than defending against enemy attacks, he protects his allies by seeking out and eliminating immediate threats.

On the instruction for adding your character to the Guild site, it says: Step 2. In the Upper Right Hand corner of your browser Click Create Page. Before you can add yourself properly to the list you must create a Character page to link it to.

There is no such link on the page. I'm not sure what's going on, is it a browser-specific code?
