Team 1 is planning exactly the same thing.

I'd like to suggest that for this week (2/6/2012) we switch up the groups, having Team 1 DPS work with Team 2 Tanks/Heals and vice versa. While we're clearly still learning and not quite ready to run through an Operation, I'd like to give everyone a chance to learn the playstyles of the other members of the group.

Any objections?

I'm pushing for Kaon Under Siege, still haven't gotten to try that yet.

Actually, I didn't realize that Nysha was one of the DPSers in the other group, and Nysha has a thing against zombies, so we might have to choose something else tonight.

Thank you for considering my taste against zombies, but every week we did Kaon Under Siege anyway, and I would like to try out other FPs. Unfortunetly directive 7 is bugged, I know we can skip the ugged boss in HM. But since False Emperor is one of the easiest HMs around according to the rumors, what do you guys say if we try out that instead? Or basicaly anything else other then Kaon Under Siege. :)

Gisben, Kolavere, Aral and Zeece ran False Emperor in Normal mode. Several of us had not been in the flashpoint before, so we figured we'd run it in Normal to make sure we knew the fights, etc.

In all, it was a cake walk except for the mechanics of the last fight. It took two attempts, and a total of 6 deaths (Gisben and Aral died twice) to finish him off. In the end he dropped a Orange DPS trooper chest, which was claimed by Aral, though mostly for a different look.

We tried False Emperor in Hard Mode, which was a mistake. The only way we could beat Tregg was to kite him back to the entrance of the flashpoint. The bounty hunter turned out to be too difficult, so we restarted in normal mode.

There were a couple of gotchas in normal mode, and we wiped a few times due to mobs bugging out and randomly respawning. The final boss got stuck on the ledge in a place where we couldn't knock him off, so we wiped again despite having otherwise owned that combat. Got him on the second try.

No good loot fell. The only orange piece we saw was a piece of droid armor.

My intention, not expressed here and that is my fault, was to start trying Eternity Vault as the first thing each week, with a strict three strikes and we're out policy. The idea being we're trying the Ops, but if we're not being quickly successful then go back and work more hard modes to improve gear, skill, and cohesiveness.

But, since it seems that Nysha will be locked out of Eternity Vault for this week, we'll start next week. I'd also ask in the future that folks keep in mind that we are an Ops group, and try to not use your lockouts on PUGs.

Seems I won't be locked out, since I have to go to work early on monday, considering my timezone changes EV would start at 3am here monday... So I won't be locked out. But I will only be able to play normally according to your timezone on the weekends.

I'm volunteering to replace Nysha until her schedule lines up with the rest of the party. 50 gunslinger, average gear score is 134.6... I've done EV once before with THE JEDI ORDER, and got to the puzzle boss.

Some recommended reading for our group. It handles the transitions between bosses, and the initial turret fight before boss 1 (a sticking point for Sunday nights group).

That could explain the difficulty had by the group yesterday, and why no one else seems to be having trouble.

I found this guide, which has quite a bit of info:

http://torwars.com/2012/01/12/operation ... -part-one/

Basically, the two tanks should just hold aggro on the turrets, and 2 or 3 of the DPSers AOE nuke the adds when they appear.
