After accepting the holo-transmission you hear the projector whirr as it comes to life. The vague shape of a humanoid appears in transparent blue before resolving into the image of a human man in Jedi robes. While flickering and monochrome cyan you can discern his key features: clean complexioned medium brown skin, deep brown eyes, and the diagonal scar of a lightsaber burn marking the middle of his face.

The image lingers for a moment, a pause characteristic of those aware of the limitations of modern holotechnology. Raising his head slightly, the man begins to speak in what would now be described as a subtle Imperial accent, “Good day to you. I am Jedi Master Markess Dodonna, currently on diplomatic assignment to Nar Shaddaa. I have entrusted this message to the Jedi Order and Republic command, and I hope it meets you well. I would speak freely, but surely there are others than the intended recipients listening now.” As Markess comments on the possibility of Sith listening he lowers his head slightly, clearly considering exactly what to disclose.

He continues, “I have made a discovery in the historical records which… is of interest to my secondary pursuit – archaeology. There may be an opportunity too valuable to miss. Anyone wishing to assist should contact me via the Republic command hypernet. May the Force be with you.”

With a bow of his head Markess ends the recording.

[Thought I’d see if I couldn’t inject some more roleplay into the mix by putting together a bit of a quest line. Mid levelled characters, especially Jedi Consulars, would probably be the best fit. Shoot Markess an in game, in character, mail if you are interested.]

((Thanks for doing this! It was my intention to get some things along these lines started a while ago, but the structure of the events was too ambitious for the level of help I was being offered. I'm currently going back to the drawing board and trying to re-work things so they can happen without as many "NPCs." In the mean time, I look forward to participating in stuff like this and encourage others to organize similar things if the urge strikes you!))
