The message "user does not exist" was changed yesterday to say "user does not exist or is not online at this time" (Not an exact quote, but the gist of it.)

For some reason the game is unable to tell the difference between an account name that has never been made, and a player who is offline.

1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?
Brother is in guild (Logehn in game) enjoy playing together, and our other brother will probably be applying soon as well

2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?
assuming this is not a crew skills question, enjoy helping others, and working together, like the depth that a guild brings to games

3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game.
inbetween casual and raiding, and like RP - have three kids so have lots of time when they are in bed, but not as much when they are awake I typically have a few toons going at the same time - especially with this game, really liking it, so find I am doing more instances than with wow

4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that?
I have no problems doing that if required, but as long as my time constraints are kept in mind (ie kids - dagnabit) work experience probably qualifies me for that - several leadership positions, people/project management, conflict resolution etc - is that the kind of thing you are looking for? don't want to bore you.

5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each.
a few different ones in wow over the years - loyal to a couple that were also led by friends of my bother - enjoy guilds that are helpful, friendly, fun - found that more with lvling guilds and more casual end game guilds. Though did find a great end game guild that was more focused on raids, that was still fun - not power tripping and full of drama - no use for that.

6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you.
thirty seven, three kids, photographer, works for gov't canada as trainer, legislative expert, project management etc. played wow for several years, minor gamer geek (especially in comparison to said brother!)

7. And finally, finally, what is the name, if any, of the Character you would like to have in the guild?

Zaffri - sage healer - main ~lvl 18
Aasera - smuggler ~lvl 11
Nymesis - dark knight ~just rolled, but these will be my main three

Thanks!
~nic

1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?
If I joined a different guild, DM Tim & DM Kate would never forgive me.

2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?
The density of “That’s what she said” jokes I tell is remarkably low. (Caveat: the puns are every bit as bad as you remember).

3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game.
I am a lore fiend. I’ll probably suffer from alt-aholism as I play through each class’ story lines.

4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that?
I take to leadership like a duck takes to molten lava.

5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each.
During 1 year in WoW, I changed guilds 3 times. Each time, they were disbanded & absorbed into another guild. Since that time, I’ve been in the same WoW guild for 5 years.

6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you.
My name is DM Jackson of Radio Free Hommlet, & I never listen to the Order 66 podcast.

7. And finally, finally, what is the name, if any, of the Character you would like to have in the guild?
Raymont

1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?
Comradery, A place where everybody knows your name, a place to hang out with friends.

2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?
Team Player skills, mY hnd I coordinatn is off te charts.

3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game. Casual and RP, can get more into RP with TOR

4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that?
I'm typically a lost leader of the lost. If nobody else know what to do, I will help up stumble through it. Not looking to chief.

5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each.
guilded in LOTRO, enjoyed the communism atmosphere. Give what you can take what you need.

6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you.
Vanguard, DDO, LOTRO. Love the Star Wars Universe and the TOR era.

7. And finally, finally, what is the name, if any, of the Character you would like to have in the guild?
Mellix in the VL server

1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?
It is a guild of like minded folk with the same interests as myself. I found out about the guild from my good friend Sterling Hershey. I have known him for years, and play test many of his products.

2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?
I’ve played MMO’s since EQ1, Beta tested most of the games on the market, as well as most of the defunct ones. I LOVE to explore new worlds. I am NOT a power gamer, I am a fan. I enjoy the quests, the friends I make in game, and problem solving.

3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game.
I am primarly a Role Player. I am on quite a bit. I even log on in my office just to chat with guildies and help out where I can. I have done lots of raids in the past mostly to help others finish quests. I wouldn’t call myself hard core. I have too much fun!

4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that?
I have led several guilds in the past. Some were fun, some were stressful. I usually end up in some sort of officer capacity at some point. If the occasion comes up, yes. But I enjoy the games just as much if I am not in a leadership position.

5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each.
The best guild I was ever in, was my first. Made up of all real life friends. We really got into the quests and enjoyed every moment of the game. I don’t know that I was ever in a bad guild or had a horrible time. It is what you make it.

6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you.
My real name is Mike Hearrold I am a former freelance artist and cartoonist, currently I am a real honest to god CSI. A forensic locksmith. I travel quite a lot around 8 states on cases. I play a lot from hotel rooms. I am 41 years old, and married for 21 years with two daughters.
7. And finally, finally, what is the name, if any, of the Character you would like to have in the guild?

Coinneach is my Jedi sentinel. He will be my main. I am very much enjoying the story line.

Thank you for your consideration.

Now that the game is live, we are starting a new official recruiting thread.

Please provide us with the information below to help us understand why you're a good fit for The Order of Sixty-Six!

"1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?"

Your guild is everything I am looking for in a guild, other then being so large (I have never been in a guild bigger then 40 people) But I am willing to try something new, because you guys feel like a good fit.

    2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?

I am a long time writer, I am very good with plots and back stories, but please don't make me write dialog, I am worse then GL. I also have raiding skills and know MMO's very well. I also can make pretty good videos, here is one for an old group of friends a ran with in Lotro (though we were not a guild) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqv7uc72 ... ature=plcp[/color]

    3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game.

All the above? I really am in to every aspect of the game, I only find crafting boring.

    4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that?

    Not at this time

    5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each.

I have really been in two guilds in the last 7ish years, one in Matrix Online (2 years) and the other in lord of the rings online (almost 5 years) Both had amazing RPing. We were all good friends and had very little drama, however both slowly went from a strong group to just a few friends over the years, which I guess would be the bad part.

    6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know
    you.

Well, my name is Joe, I am 22 years old and am just about to move from Alabama to Washington state (yes holly crap, and I am driving too) I have been in love with star wars since 1996, and have several lightsabers, even tried my hand at doing at lightsaber video back in 07 (which can be found here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5cY3ajmZ ... ature=plcp)
I would love a job in film, though had a hard time getting to collage. I work hard, and like to enjoy star wars and mmo's, and TOR is the prefect place for me.

    7. And finally, finally, what is the name, if any, of the Character you would like to have in the guild?

Aralt, he is already made, has a backstory and is level 35.

1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?
While I'm enjoying the game, I'm finding that the areas that work better with a group are tricky to get one assembled. Even once a group is put together on the fly, no one knows how to work together yet. I'd really like to have a group of folks to call on and to be a part of for this great game.
I'd also like people to discuss how to make my character the best possible for team scenarios as well as solo story stuff.

2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?
I'm not really too sure. This is my first MMO, so it's not like I have much of any experience of this kind of thing.

3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game.
I find that I'm pretty heavy RP, even when I'm on my own. For example, I won't run in a Jedi temple. It's just disrespectful. Though the one on Coruscant is a little different given the state it's in and the threats running around.

4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that?
Not particularly. My lack of experience in this makes me want to just be a member.

5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each.
None, see above.

6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you.
I've been a table top role player & LARPer since '91. I've been a sci-fi geek all my life, saw Star Wars in the theater 9 times in '77, have a Transformers collection, Graflex saber hilt in my work room & a lightsaber tattoo.

7. And finally, finally, what is the name, if any, of the Character you would like to have in the guild?
My main character is Ookla, Jedi Sage, 19th level as of this posting.

1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?

I have a couple of friends in the guild and would love to improve my already great game experience by joining your guild.

2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?

Are you meaning in game skills? I am currently using Biotech and Bioanalisys and Slicing.

3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game.

I have played many MMO's so I have the experience from them I can bring. We are on a RP server which is new to me with MMO's but I do a lot of pen and paper Role Playing with friends so I know how to stay in Character. I usually am a Casual Gamer but I do enjoy raiding as well, so I am willing to help in either aspect.

4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that?

I have never had a leadership position before in any guild, don't know if its for me at all. I am fine just helping out when other guildies need it.

5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each.

Not much, in WoW I played mostly without a guild since I was never able to find one that wanted to have another Rogue since they had "to many" already.

6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you.

Well I am married, but my wife doesn't play. I would like to get her into the game. I am working full time currently and going to be starting up classes on the 17th of January here soon. The will be night classes so most of the times I will be on will be the weekend. I am going to be studying networking to hopefully get out of my current job and into a career. I have no kids, as of yet.

7. And finally, finally, what is the name, if any, of the Character you would like to have in the guild?

Ammon is my level 19 Jedi Guardian currently.

1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?

Been excited about this guild ever since rumors of its existence started on the podcast way back when. I love playing with like minded people that all adhere to the DBAD rule and enjoy having fun in the Star Wars universe. I'm also able to play with RL friends in the guild, which is always a plus.

2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?

I excel in writing and have both an extensive RP and GM background which could only lead to more fun within the guild. I also am pretty decent at formulating party strategies to deal with in-game encounters. But most of all, I'm just very sociable and like to help out.

3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game.

For the most part I'm a casual gamer that likes to do some RP when questing or doing flashpoints. I've never been too hard-core with raiding or PvP in the past, but could see raiding and flashpoints becoming a larger aspect of my game style as this game makes them much more interesting.

4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that?

I've never had a leadership position in the guild, and would probably be more comfortable with just a mid-tier type thing or just a cool title. I'm willing to help anyone with anything, even if it means that I'm taking time away from my own progress (I'm already doing this by acting as a healer for random groups even when I had already finished the questline).

5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each.

I was in a guild in WoW for a short time many years ago, but quickly fell away from them as they were much more serious about doing end-game activities that I had yet to reach due to less available to time. They were good people but I didn't get to do much with them. Later on, my RL friends and I made a guild which worked much better as it was far more casual, while still accomplishing things and enjoying each other's company.

6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you.

My name is Brad and I live near Chicago. I am currently engaged (to the wonderful woman who plays Rhyodia in the guild). No kids yet to speak of. As of right now I am unemployed due to lay-offs at my previous company, but have recently returned to school for an IT (Networking and Security) degree. Other than that, I spend most of my time (while not on TOR) with friends either catching movies - my favorite are horror and sci-fi - or playing one form of RPG or another. Currently in the rotation are SWSE, D&D 4E, Pathfinder, NWoD, and a couple OWoD LARPS. We play a lot of other systems at many a time too.

7. And finally, finally, what is the name, if any, of the Character you would like to have in the guild?

Avrios, Jedi Sage, fully specialized in Healing - currently in the Order of Sixty-Six
I may have some alts in the future, but I'd rather concentrate on just one character for now.

Thanks!
Brad

1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?

I want to be a member of the Order of 66, because in the past week and a half since I have been playing, it seems that the Order of 66 is one of the few guilds that have their shiz together on the server. While the game is young and fresh, I want to be part of a guild that was there from the beginning. Besides, the backstory is pretty boss.

2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?

I played WoW for 4+ years, and stopped playing after the first major patch of Cataclysm. I don't plan on going back, but I have been waiting for an MMO that can have my attention for another 4+ years. Besides, I have been a Star Wars fan for 28+ years, so....It is safe to say that SWTOR has my attention.

I have raid lead experience, and guild leadership as well. I used to be Nykronus of Earthen Ring. Youtube search Haunted GM rage. ;)

3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game.

I used to be a hard core raider, but I am currently on sea duty in the military. Therefore, time will not permit me to be the hard core raider I want to be. Therefore, call me a casual raider. While I will be gone a lot, I feel that I will be able to hit it hard and adapt fairly quick. I know how to stand out of colored stuff on the ground and out of fires. I know that there is no I in team, and that if I'm going to waste my own time I will be also wasting 7 or 15 other people's times in operations (raids). That isn't me.

4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that?

I would, but how bout you hit me up in a couple years when I can be home every single day of the year? I would like to be a RL military/overseas duty officer/liason to help build another community within the guild.

5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each.

I used to be a hard core raider. I took it too seriously. I'm just here to have fun. Check out the videos they put of me on youtube. I was SERIOUS! I'm not like that anymore. I'm a follower. I just want to have fun. That's why I play MMOs.

6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you.

Like I said in the aboves.... I'm in the military.. I've been in for 10 years, and I can make this work. I don't need to be online every single day to form that special bond between us. I'm looking for a guild where I can make friends, and have a place to come and log online and not worry about having to reestablish myself as a SWTOR player. I am on sea duty so there are times where I might not be around for days or weeks at a time.

I have a wife and a 9 year old kid. She is totally cool with me playing MMOs, because she knows it is how I unwind.

I love comic books, and all the nerdy dorky crap.

7. And finally, finally, what is the name, if any, of the Character you would like to have in the guild?

My characters name is Master Nykronus Navarino. Jedi Shadow.

Please note we do have a 2 character per person limit currently.

1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?
A co-worker is a member and referred me.

2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?
Erm... Lots of MMO experience, already level 50, I know the assassin class well, though I am not sure that would apply very well to a Jedi Guild :P
I am always down to help where I can on missions. I like to think I am knowledgeable about all of the flashpoints already as I have done most in hard mode already.

3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game.
All of the above. I have had experience with it all, but casual/hardcore raiding/pvp is what most of my time was spent on. I don't like making many alts if any, and they are dedicated characters I put a lot of time and effort into.

4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that?
Negative.

5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each.
Been with the same guild for around 4+ years, since Vanilla wow. Now we moved to SWTOR, but are on the "Dark Reaper" server. No bad experiences. We tend to eliminate drama quickly.

6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you.
I probably soak too much of my life into video games, but its one of my true "passions". I have tons of hobbies, paintball, I go out to Mid-Ohio raceway and do driver's courses there, snowboarding, piano, huge planted aquariums, flying etc etc etc...
I am an electrical engineer, I'm married with no kids. More importantly, I am a star wars fan :)

7. And finally, finally, what is the name, if any, of the Character you would like to have in the guild?

To be honest... I have no idea yet. I have trouble with making up creative names, especially Jedi names, but I may use... "Alexandroff" (Skyrim roots) or "Telestra".

Ok, so that utterly disqualifies him. :P

Kidding, just kidding. If Duncan thinks your OK, then you're probably OK.
