Hey guys, I will officially kick this off, and Joe will be the lead on guild recruiting as we move forward.
As we get started, please respond to this thread with a very formatted response. We are looking for a few things from each of you that want to be involved in the guild and need this information to begin charting who is going to be in a leadership position and who can help with events, raiding, and so forth.
Answer the following questions for us, take as much space as you need.
1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?
2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?
3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game.
4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that?
5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each.
6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you.
I think that is plenty to start with. Keep in mind that we will be respectful to all, as long as you are respectful to your fellow guild mates. Thanks!!

Well, I already have a leadership position (for which I'd like to say I'm extremely grateful and super excited), but I feel like filling one of these out anyhow. 1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?First off, the d20 Radio community is just awesome. It's rare to find a collection of so many bright, entertaining, enthusiastic people that share the same hobbies under one banner. I couldn't think of better material from which to forge the greatest Star Wars MMO Guild the galaxy has ever seen. Secondly, I'm UBER excited about this game. Every day that goes by and I can't play it, a small part of me dies inside. I also know from experience that the fun factor of an MMO increases by Orders of magnitude (pun intended) if you have a fun, friendly guild to play with. Why not make the most of the game by sticking with the best? 2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?I've been playing MMOs since the World of Warcraft beta. Not as much of an old-timer as some, but I've played almost all of the triple-A MMOs that have come out since then for at least a month. Just to name off the top of my head: WoW, Runescape, City of Heroes, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes, Age of Conan, Hellgate London, Planetside, Star Wars Galaxies, Warhammer Online, The Matrix Online, Guild Wars, EVE Online, and Second Life. May be missing a couple. Needless to say, I have a lot of experience with the MMO paradigm. My longest-played MMO is WoW, in which I've logged months of actual played time. My area of expertise is RP, which I've been doing in chat rooms for about 8-years, far predating my intro to MMOs. There is nothing I would rather be doing in my free time, honestly, whether it's around the table with some dice or at a virtual cantina with friends hundreds of miles away. I am experienced at creating and fleshing out characters, helping others do so, putting together fun community events, and even executing in-engine storylines using guild members as "actors." You know those murder mystery parties you went to in college where everyone had a clue and you don't know who the murderer is? That kind of thing. 3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game. When I'm not hanging around RPing, I'm usually levelling solo or in a small group. I also enjoy 5-10 person instanced content, but nothing larger than that. Also quite the altoholic, both because I like to try out different classes and because I like to RP a variety of characters depending on what mood I'm in (though I almost always have one definite main.) I'm "hardcore" in the amount of time I spend in game, often beating friends to whatever the new level cap is, but at that point I focus more on RP and having fun running lower level players through dungeons and stuff. I'm not a gear nut and while I know how to play my chosen class(es) well, I'm satisfied never being the very best because I don't enjoy raiding to get the Epic McGuffin of Ultimate Doom. In similar gear, I can usually beat an equal-level player 3 out of 4 times. I enjoy organized PvP (like Battlegrounds) if it's executed well. More than that, though, I enjoy just getting a huge party together and raiding in-zone locations. That's some of the most fun I've had in MMOs. 4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that?I do, and thanks to you, I am. Super Ultra Crazy Excited to be the head of RP for the guild. I will serve you all well. (I almost said "I'll try to serve you all well," but, you know....) 5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each. The largest guild I was in was The Pod People on the Whisperwind server in World of Warcraft. It was founded by hosts and fans of the WoW podcast Taverncast, and it was a blast. I ultimately resigned from the guild because it wasn't an RP server and I was finding it increasingly difficult to find people to RP with. Since then, I've usually gravitated to (or started) smaller, 20-30 person RP guilds in the games I've stayed in for any length of time. The smaller community feel is kind of nice, and it allows everyone to organize around a common storyline. I'm hoping to bring some of that feel, RP-wise, to the much larger Oo66. 6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you.Alright... My real name is T.J. Hafer. I'm a college student living in the Kansas City area. I love tabletop roleplaying games, PC games of all sorts (RPG, strategy, shooter...), Marvel comics, Joss Whedon shows, and Folk Metal music. My favorite Star Wars game was KotOR 1 and my favorite Star wars movies in order are: Empire, Jedi, New Hope, Clones, Sith, Menace. In KotOR I played a Light-Side male Revan named Tir'Jin Meteos, a name I will be porting over to my main Oo66 character (also a Jedi.) I also do a podcast (currently on hiatus for Exams Week) which you can find in my signature. When you ask someone to talk about themselves, it can go on for untold hours, so I'll exercise my Jedi Master restraint and stop there.

1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?The folks here on the d20radio forums are a friendly, mature, and knowledgeable group, and I expect that those traits will carry over into the TOR guild. Thanks to the size and dedication of the d20radio community, The Order of 66 will begin with a large and well-organized membership. This will make the guild a major presence within TOR right from the start, and help the guild to grow even more. Which in turn will bring more people into the d20radio community. I want to be a part in making that happen, and I think I can help. 2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?I have a great deal of experience, from multiple MMOs, in organizing guilds, recruiting new members, organizing group activities, and in helping members advance their characters. 3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game.I prefer accomplishing quests within a group. I not only get the satisfaction of completing a task, but the enjoyment of doing so with the help of fellow guildies, and in helping them in turn. I don't particularly care for PvP. I don't have anything to prove, and I don't enjoy beating on other real people. I prefer cooperative PvE. (I also have poor twitch skills.) None of the MMOs I've been in have been well-suited to RP, so I've not done much of it in MMOs. I have done a lot of RP in pen & paper games, starting with Traveller in 1979. If TOR will lend itself to RP, I'd be happy to do so. The most fun I've had in MMOs is helping newbies, and in going out in large PvE hunting groups. 4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that?Yes. I was in the Earth & Beyond beta, and held a senior guild position in the largest guild in that game (on any server) after the game launched. I did a lot of recruiting, and dedicated most of my time to guiding new guild members and helping them to advance their skills in the game, as well as leading that game's equivalent of "raiding parties". (E&B was a strictly PvE game.) As many did when SWG was announced and went into beta, I left E&B and joined the SWG beta several months before SWG launched. In SWG, I participated in many large group hunts, occasionally organizing and leading some. My most experienced toon was an Armor Crafter with a reputation for high quality goods at reasonable prices. I also had a Teras Kasi Master and Creature Handler toons. I participated in raids (both PvE and PvP) and helped many players to complete quests. I reluctantly quit SWG 6 months or so after release after becoming fed up with SOE's incessant mucking up of the game. After swearing off of MMOs for several years, I got into Guild Wars a day or two after it was released. After a few days of play I was inducted into a guild when another player saw me helping other players out. I fairly quickly rose through the guild ranks to become one of the senior members, responsible for recruiting and helping new members. I participated in many group quest completions and the occasional arena combat, and we used TeamSpeak to coordinate our actions. The senior guild members (those more senior than I) were hardcore PvP gamers, while the bulk of the guild was PvE. One day they (without warning or discussion) just upped and quit to form a new PvP-only guild, leaving the rest of us stunned -- and leaving me as the de facto guild leader. A position I wasn't well-suited for in that game. My next MMO was Hellgate:London. I eventually joined a large, multi-game clan that was organizing their HGL guild. I participated in many group quest completions (coordinated via TeamSpeak), often leading groups for newer members. I eventually became the in-game guild leader when our previous leader decided to step down (RL issues). My duties as the in-game leader was mainly that of approving new members. 5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each.I'd have to say that the guild I was in in E&B (with over 100 members) was my favorite. We had a really nice community of players who all helped one another, and we had a lot of fun. I have no bad memories at all. My guild in Guild Wars was just as fun ... right up to the day when every senior guild officer other than myself vanished to go form another guild. HGL, with small, instanced groups, really didn't lend itself well to guild activities. Guilds were just a very convenient form of easily finding a group of like-minded people to go finish quests with. That said, we did have a lot of fun with small groups of 4-6. I didn't join a guild in SWG until just a couple of weeks before I quit the game, and it wasn't a large or well-organized group, so there's not much for me to say about it. Most of my play in SWG was solo, or in ad-hoc groups with strangers. 6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you.You can read a brief bio on me on my blog. I'm a soon-to-be 50 year old software engineer that's been playing RPGs since I was introduced to Traveller in 1979. I love RPGs. Can't get enough. Been playing Star Wars RPG since the early days of WEG. Played KotOR (both of them) several times through. And other Star Wars games like EAW and Battlefront. I'm also a huge Star Wars geek, ever since I saw the original in '77. I'm a voracious reader of sci-fi and fantasy, lover of sci-fi TV shows and movies, and avid strategy (not real-time) gamer. I'm currently running a very fun Saga PbP game over on the Saga-Edition boards. See my sig for links. When playing characters in RPGs, I much prefer to play light-siders. Being nasty and cruel just doesn't appeal to me. Unless I'm running an NPC as a GM, and even then I'm rooting for the players to whack the NPC. When I'm playing in MMOs (and pen & paper games), I don't give much attention to creating "optimal" or uber builds. Unlike many of the players I played with in Guild Wars and HGL. I play to have fun, not to "beat the system". I like nice loot as much as the next guy, but given a choice between roleplaying or loot-scrounging, I'd choose RP every time. RPGs, in my mind, aren't about who has the most or best toys. It's about how you play your character.

1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66? Because of the people. It is always about the community and I have found no better than this one that resides at D20 radio. And if one has to play Star Wars, and I am one who has to, then why venture anywhere without any of you.
2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies? As I have mentioned earlier I got into Star Wars, like really got into it about a year ago now. So from the history and canon side not so much. But I do have much real life experience which has been documented for some here. But my skills can be quite useful for I am a utility man who can do what must be done for balance or general aid for others in the guild. If you need a pilot I your answer, if you need a Jedi or Sith I am your man. I believe now you get the point.
3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game. Casual to hard core. I have only ever played 1 MMO before and that was Guild Wars. But I played that like 8-10 hours a day. Now with a real job and stuff I may not play as much but my free time will be given to whatever server we are on. I enjoy a great story in games. I can PvP but prefer not to for I have found that I am not a min/max kind of guy so as of yet I do not excel with that kind of arena. But group raiding I have not tried so I will. But mostly I think I will play the storyline a lot and will gladly and kindly help those out who are on my path. Some days I have a mission all my own and I will do nothing but that, but for the vast part if you need any help in game just hit me up. I can solo the "campaign" or do it with a large or small party. Matters not to myself.
4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that? No, to be frank about it. I am a player and that is all at this point. I have to much leadership and responsbility in real life that when I escape it is not my intention to do the same. Favors and Aid I will gladly do. Besides We already have the greatest of leaders, and upon your lofty pedestal I will let you stay.
5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each. I have belonged to two guilds in Guild Wars. One for a year before moving on. It was great for like 10 months then there was to much drama. Not to mention the husbands and wives cyber cheating. It was so bad that I actually stop using Vent. But then my next guild was awesome too. Nothing but those willing to help, guide and teach. They had all done what they desired in game for themselves so they logged on just to help the community they had created.
6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you. Stephen is my name. I am 25 and reside just outside of Dallas, Texas. I have only really begun to love the Star Wars universe in about the last year. For I love the idea of championing oneself. And my faith is similar to that portrayed with the Force and how it interacts in the Star Wars Universe. I prefer not to talk about my past for it is said and done with. Now is all we have and tomorrow keeps on getting better. But as far as in game, I will play a Jedi and Scout if they have one. Also a Bounty Hunter and Sith. Well cover all my bases and say I will play each class at least once. I am a kind and gentle man for life is a grand journey and I look forward to traveling with you all.
-Stephen

1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?
Same reasons as most of the people here. The d20Radio community is great, and I'd love to have them be guildmates in TOR. Also, the backstory for the guild sounds superb. ^.^
2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?
I don't have a particular skill-set persay, I hope that's okay... Mostly, I would be there simply to game with good people, and do my best to be "good people" in return. (schizophrenia strikes again!... or it's just a turn of phrase, whatever.)
3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game.
I've done all three now. I'd love to be at least peripherally involved in the RP scene, and I'd hope to participate in events such as raiding, but my time is limited, so we'll see what I'm able to do.
4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that?
I wouldn't be suited for a leadership role in the guild. I'm already looking for a management position in the real world after a lay-off, don't want to do the same thing in my off hours. ^.~
5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each.
I've been lucky enough to have mainly positive guild experience. I ran a small guild in WoW before joining the guild of a friend, of which I was a member for a few years (even after the friend quit). They were excellent people, but when they kicked out anyone who wasn't able to raid twice a week, I set the game aside. Still haven't convinced myself to go back.
6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you.
I'm 20 years old, and I live in San Diego, CA. I use the handle GMRob here, but prefer Robert IRL. I love games of all sort, but tend to gravitate towards RPGs (found d20 radio looking for a D&D podcast, ended up hitting Order 66 before RFH, and went out and bought Saga.) I used to be the assistant manager for a DVD store (Suncoast), before my store was shut down because of the economy. Now I spend my time sending resumes out, and listening to every podcast I can find on the d20radio network.

1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?Star Wars has been a passion and hobby of mine since high school, and Star Wars roleplaying has been with me all the way through. I really appreciate the community here at D20radio, and I value the care and excellence that the leaders here put into everything they do. I have no doubt that the Order 66 will be a friendly, fun guild that will be large enough to support a player population that is active in various areas of the game's content. This hope is what draws me to the Order 66. Plus, you guys rock! I've listened to you, read your forum posts and respected all the opinions here. The D20radio community is full of veritable GIANTS as far as I'm concerned, and I can't wait to spend "eight-to-ten hours a day" with y'all (j/k ... or am I?) 2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?I am an experienced MMO gamer. Played SW:G, WoW, a bit of CoH and EVE Online. I love the genre, and I love sharing it with others. In my job I am a leader and guide or sorts, and I enjoy helping lowbies in the game, and helping to soften the sometimes-steep learning curve. I want to help make sure even those who love Star Wars but are new to TOR find a place where they can find help in the gameplay so that they can enjoy the rest of it. To that end, I should say that I have strong people skills, a high amount of patience, and the stomach to implement disciplinary measures when necessary. I also have strong communication and writing skillz... Oops. Err... skills. Did I mention my dry sense of humor? 3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game.I am rather casual in style, though not in time spent. I tend to be an altaholic, which occupies a lot of my time so you'll likely see me in game a lot, but I'm a rather relaxed player in that I don't spend much time in the numbers end of things, which may mean that my toons aren't "ideal" or "1337". Raiding progressions and "epik lewtz" don't hold all that much glimmer for me. Additionally, I've loved MMO Star Wars RP since my Galaxies days. I'm not a "full-immersion" roleplayer, but I do enjoy chat RPing in game. I also get a great kick out of fun, friendly PvP, so if the game includes battlegrounds, you'll likely see me there and hear me prodding you others to join in for the kicks. 4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that?I don't post here much, so my name probably isn't well respected or well known, so I doubt I'd qualify for a leadership role. Nevertheless, I'm a strong leader in my field or work, a friendly and easy-going personality, and usually end up in an "officer" position in the guilds I participate in for any significant length of time. So you may as well promote me on Day One and get it over with, 'cause if you don't, you will soon enough. Seriously, though, I'd do well helping out by organizing and leading, but I just want to be involved. My name's here, now you've heard of me. I'm here to help. 5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each.I've been in many, many guilds in my time. Once I find a fit, I take a great deal of pride in helping out guildies and helping to keep a pleasant tone among the other members. I often end up in officer-type positions, and I have used the power that comes with that for moderation purposes more often than some other leaders. I tend to have little patience for abuse or bad-taste-insults in guild chat, or unnecessary drama in general. I have kicked people out of my current WoW guild several times; my philosophy is, if the other officers think it was an overkill g-kick, then they'll reinvite him, I'll apologize for overreacting, and the "time out" will probably do him good anyway -- at least the others don't have to suffer through his attitude. I have seen guild drama leading to splits, drunk, angry members letting loose an emotional barrage on an unsuspecting g-chat, and had to put people on ignore. How bad can it really get in-game, after all? Mostly I take it in stride. Sometimes I /cry. *sniff* No, I was *sniff* joking. Seriously, stop looking at me. The best guild I've ever experienced was my Star Wars: Galaxies guild. We were a bunch of roleplayers who took our roleplaying into every aspect of our gaming -- PvP, PvE, grinding, crafting, you name it, we RPed it. We helped each other out, went out of our way for each other, sometimes hollered at each other (that's life, eh?), and had a fantastic online community together. 6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you. Well, I'm a big fan of the podcast, been watching since the beginning and aching for TOR to come out so I can meet up with y'all in-game. I'm a Canadian clergyman, and live with my wife, two cats and a border collie in a small town in the prairies. I enjoy reading science fiction and fantasy, the classics, music of various genres and sounds (can't wait to hear what the prospective D20radio DJs will put out for me!), a cold pint with a good fish'n'chips, and my nightly dose of Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. Those two, along with House and The Big Bang Theory are my favorite shows on right now. To know more, you'll have to ask. Cheers!

1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66? I like the d20radio community, and I'm excited about TOR. The Order of 66 will combine the two - so it sounds like a lot of fun.
2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies? I have never played an MMO, so that's out the window. But I am a quick learner, enthusiastic and I like to RP!
3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game. Not sure since I'm an MMO noob, but my guess would be more on the RP / casual side than hard-core raiding. EDIT: Okay, I've been playing WoW a few weeks now. I tend to be quest-oriented, but I like to explore as well. I enjoy running in a group to accomplish a quest (mine or someone else's). But I don't tend toward raiding or PvP.
4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that? I'm probably not qualified for one, but I'm more than happy to be involved. I like to write, if you need help with the original Order of 66 member backstories.
5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each. None to describe. EDIT: The guild I'm in on WoW has a lot of high-level, power-oriented players. They are happy to assist when needed, but for the most part they are just resources and friendly faces. I like that, but I think I'd like having more people around to work with a bit more.
6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you. I never listen to the Order 66 podcast, but I am fortunate enough to have a bit on Game On! My RPG of choice is SWSE. I like to play games (all sorts), and I'm going to GenCon for the first time this year. I live in TX, and I generally try to be a happy person. My favorite color is purple, so I like the guild already. And I should warn you that I think I'm funny.

1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?I'm a SW freak, and I've been listening to the Order 66 since the beginning. I love the community, and can't think of another guild in SW:TOR that I would rather be a part of. 2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?Inside the game, I've been playing video games for almost 2 decades now (I'm 28). MMO experience is lacking though, my girlfriend and I played WoW casually for about a year I have a good grasp of systems of all types, whether it's table-top or electronic, and I'm a quick learner. Also, like GM Dave, I have already made plans to take a week off at launch to help get the guild established. 3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game.I never got into raiding in the MMOs I've played, but that was largely due to not knowing the right groups to hook up with. I see myself somewhere between Casual and HC Raiding. Not quite as much of an altaholic as my girlfriend, though I do have altaholic tendencies at times. 4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that?I'm more of a behind-the-scenes kind of person, so if there's a role that would fit that, I'm there. I consider myself rather reliable and a good troubleshooter, but not as good at things that require taking initiative. 5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each.I didn't do a lot of guild stuff because I couldn't find a good group in WoW, so my experience is lacking considerably in this aspect. 6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you.I'm a "computer guy" for government contractors. I spent several years as a field technician, going on travel 80% of time to really crappy parts of the country (various military bases in the middle of nowhere) and now I'm more stationary (thankfully). I'm more of a sysadmin type than a developer type. I grew up in West Virginia and now live in a Washington DC suburb, so I'm kind of a "High-tech Redneck" (to quote George Jones). I'm also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Unlike Kat, I don't like the color purple because I don't believe it exists (I'm colorblind, so I can't see it). Purple is my girlfriend's favorite color though, so if she comes on here and submits her own answers, I'll probably have to eat my words later. IRL, I go by CJ.

1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?The community here at d20 radio is outstanding. It’s one of the few "boards" I post (more of a lurker) as my perception of the majority of its members are more friendly and mature as opposed to other game related sites. I am a big fan of O66 podcast, and have turned many of my friends on to listening. It is helped out alot with our RPG game, and the site in no small way has influenced me enough to try my hand at what will be my first MMORPG. (TOR) If this is going to be my first foray into that type of computer game, this is the place for me to do it. I think the people in the guild will not bite my head off for asking a common question(s), as I educate myself on the status quo of this type of (comp.) game play. 2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?Tons of RPG experience. I have been role playing for 17 years. A majority of that time as a DM. I run both SWSE and DND games every week and my gaming group is rather large and versatile... My weakness will be the fact I have little online computer game experience, but I hope to change that with a little help from others and effort on my part. 3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game.Def RP. I have no problem with combat etc. However, my preference lies within character development, intrigue, plot lines, etc... As I said before, I am a DM/GM primarily, so I def lean heavily toward the RP side of the spectrum. 4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that? That would depend on the position and the responsibilities each entailed. I have no problem being a leader and find myself shifting toward that role historically speaking. Again, I lack experience in regards to have the familiarity of MMORPG games many other do... but with a little time I will be able to overcome that and step into whatever role the guild needs. 5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each.See Question 4. I def have the motivation and enthusiasm to be involved in the guild. Moreover, the responsibility and dependability that it will require. 6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you. I am a husband, dad, brother, friend (to few), acquaintance (to many). I live in Alaska, which is a truly beautiful, and kick ass place to hang your blaster over the fireplace. (Yes, it is cold up here in the winter. No, people don’t live in Igloos and have pet polar bears, but 800lb moose’s do run across your driveway which is odd even to me, and we don't have to worry about insects really (I hate bugs), but a bear could realistically eat you even near the city. It is a trade off. LOL) I try to travel when I can, and have been to GEN CON a couple times. I work in the telecommunications industry and my degree is in business management. I hope to own my own business one day, but until then I will continue to rage against the man! (But I fear that day as I will then be the man, and will need to worry about who will be raging against me!? heh) I am a DM primarily. I have been gaming with the same group for about a decade. We game every week. I found this place via the order 66 podcast, which ironically I never listen to!

1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?
Im looking to Join one of the TOP guilds of the Star Wars Old Republic, Knowing this one WILL be a Talkative Group just by listening to the D20 Radio Podcast that Talks about the guild, I know this guild will be one of the tops because it has so much effort behind it. I find it fun to be in a guild where you can have a SERIOUS conversation, but still not have to talk only about 'Star wars this, Star Wars that,' Your Podcasts show that this guild wont be on a topic like that ALL the time. You did talk about how annoying your Grass is after all...
2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?
Im a Roleplayer, A talker, and a Learner, I can learn Roleplays fast so i would love to be able to help answer top questions in the Game, where is this guy? oh hes right here. I also like to Make sure people are having fun when there playing, Listen to people who have downer days,
3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game.
Casual, Roleplayer. I love to just play, Group up with Guildies, And do missions, Tasks, anything, You wanna Raid? SURE why not, I got nothing else to do! You wanna go to Nal hutta and Dance on a few tables? Sure! I'm Casual in the Sense that ill come on, Play for a few hours, 3-6 hours, Leave, but in that time i may of Raided a dozen people, Danced on dozens of planets. I love to Roleplay, Im looking for a Group of people who will be Roleplayers, so i believe this Guild will aid that Addiction
4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that?
I do not require a Leadership Position, but I would love on if the chance ever Arose, I was a Guild Recruiter in CoH/CoV, Guild Wars, And many other MMORPG's that i cant remeber to well, Ragnarok, and also, Mabinogi, so the only area i would really glance at curiously is the Guild Recruiter depending on the Restrictions that would be placed on me, Also, I would be willing to join any Admin area that would be Q&A.
5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each.
My Best guild, i personally Created was on Guildwars, It gained a Large amount of people before i passed it on to another person as the game was getting to PvP oriented for my taste, I joined a CoH guild Enjoyed it, and helped further it,
I havent really had too many bad Guild i have been in, I rarely do not get along with anyone in the guild unless there Serious all the time.
6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you.
I am a 20 year old Canadian, I loved starwars sense i was 8, I Play Rolplaying games such as DnD, Starwars Saga Edition, Starwars the orignal RPG, Pretty much any Roleplaying system you name i proboly had played at one time or another.

1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?There is strength in numbers; I know this from all of my personal experiences. TOR is going to be a fabulous game and much more enjoyment will be had by all by grouping together. 2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?A guild is about people. I have excellent interpersonal skills and a cool head. In my day to day work I deal with members requiring administrative or pay/benefits services. As the majority of members do not understand the policies some can become difficult to deal with, and that includes those of higher rank, I am fully capable of relating information in a polite, respectful manner regardless of the member's attitude. On a Jedi Academy roleplaying server, I was Public Affairs admin. I was responsible for communicating with the player base through announcements, meeting, and private conversations. I dealt with any concerns and complaints. In this position I dealt with many difficult players, learning to differentiate between real concerns and personal attacks. While we are all friends here, the guild will eventually expand and there will be stress and occasional drama. This cannot be stopped, but we can manage it effectively. I am in a guild in SWG which, as a very large guild, has such problems from time to time. My personal approach is to relax, realize its a game, and not get pulled in either way. In my day to day work I am responsible for effectively communicating in multiple media both within my organization and outside of it. As a university student, I also must communicate in a logical and persuasive manner. Communication will be key in keeping the guild operating efficiently. I have written reports, minutes, correspondence, essays, and presentations. In SWG I have extensively engaged in PvE, taking a leadership role in engaging in dungeon crawl operations (Geo Cave, Deathwatch Bunker) directing movement and tactics. I have taken this position in several other computer RPGs such as Neverwinter Nights and Freelancer. This demonstrates an aptitude for spatial awareness and navigation as well as tactical leadership ability. Having taken the roles of Community Administrator, Modder, and PvE Leader as well as in my studies and my work I know the importance of responsibility and accountability. Too often people are willing to commit and then back out, or don't feel as though they can give a straight answer. People commonly say, "If I say I'm going to do something, I do it." That is true for me. But more importantly is the fact I can say, "No, because...” I do not disappoint because I do not bite off more than I can chew. Finally, as a Gamemaster I have the ability to be creative, including on a short notice. I have run Star Wars RCR and Saga Edition, Dungeons and Dragons 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0, Serenity, and Battlestar Galactica. Outside of tabletop games, I have been responsible for content as a Modder to numerous Neverwinter Nights servers as well as a Freelancer server. These roles are similar in the requirement to develop logical and enjoyable content for a deadline. As Faction Leader across a wide range of servers in Jedi Academy roleplay (Mandalorians, Imperial Security Bureau, Imperial Armed Forces, Rebel Alliance, Jedi) I have been responsible for the overall direction of the in character activities. Having had control of each of these groups at separate times demonstrates my ability to represent diverse groups with different tactics, policies, and goals. 3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game.I like to do it all. I enjoy roleplaying, but to me roleplaying is substantially more difficult in an MMO due to the massive number of non-roleplayers. Therefore, I also engage in PvE and PvP. In SWG I greatly enjoyed the player driven economy. While I do not believe this will be present in TOR at launch, it was very enjoyable to me in other games. Would I describe myself as a hard core gamer? I like to have an optimized, effective character and I like to engage in PvE/PvP using tactics so that I can win. My schedule during school is highly flexible so I do spend a good deal of time in game. However, I do not take things too seriously. I seek out and accept responsibility because I cannot let down others- but I do not have an abnormally strong attachment to characters or the game. I like to win in PvE and PvP. If I lose, so what? Come back next time with a better loudout and better tactics. I like my characters. If they are damaged or need to be replaced, so what? I'll come up with something new and have fun as well. 4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that?Yes. I am qualified for a leadership position in the guild due to my skillset gained over several positions. Summarizing from Question 2: Accountability – Approached with a “Don’t bite off more than you can chew” mantra. Interpersonal skills - Gained throughout all my academic, professional, and recreational pursuits Communication - Through school, work as an RMS Clerk, and as a Community Admin and Modder Administration and Policy - At work I am responsible for understanding complex policy. As a member of the Mess Committee I also work to develop policy. Last year, I sat on the student policy review board for my school division. Leadership - Through PvE across several computer RPGs I have learned to lead RPG tactical combat operations. As a Community Relations Admin I managed Forum Moderators, Server Moderators, and Faction Leaders. 5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each. The Best: No one event sticks out in my mind. But being in a guild is very similar to being in the military or some similar group. Lieutenant Colonel Rhodes in Ironman is right, when you tag up as a Guild Member when you log in you know everyone with that tag has your back. If you need help, you’ve got it. But you need help out too. Its not a burden, its enjoyable to help your Guild mates because you are helping to create something bigger than just your character. The Worst: Things get out of control sometimes. Drama and taking things too seriously hampers fun. Some people just take the game way to seriously when roleplay doesn’t go their way, when they get killed in a raid, or PvE doesn’t work out right. My approach is to relax, but too many people wind themselves up and dump on others. That’s not cool. 6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you.I’m a Canadian and proud of it. I may razz the Yanks, but I do believe our two nations are best friends. I live in Manitoba, which is just north of North Dakota. Brandon is kind of like Minot, only our military base is smaller . I’m a Sociology student and an Army Reservist. I’m a Resource Management and Support Clerk in an Artillery unit so I have very diverse training. As a logistics soldier I get a big dose of policy, finance, administration, and any paperwork you could imagine. But being in a combat unit means I go to the field, communicate via tactical means, drive green vehicles, and do combat training. I’ve been a member of the Gamer Nation officially for a while now. Before d20radio.com I played all sorts of roleplaying games online, across all media. Ventrilo/Teamspeak, chat/MSN, computer games, etc. I’m not all nerd all the time. I love good literature of all types (movies, games, and books), and love discussing it. I blame my love for English on my grade 9 instructor. Like any 19 year old in Canada (sucks to be you, yanks ) I like to go out and hit the pubs/bars, so I’m not in game 24/7. The nerd stereotype doesn’t need to be true, and I am somewhat obsessed with fitness knowledge. Nothing like hitting the weights, but cardio is boring if you don’t have a partner. That’s about it for me, we’ll get to know one another much b

1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?Because I like role-playing with a crowd, and the best MMO Experiences I've had have been with communities, not just 4-5 players and their characters. The crew here on the d20 Radio forums have been some of the most rational gamers and forum posters I've encountered in my many years on the internet. The chance to play with you guys and be in your Guild interests me greatly. 2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?I'm very big on "making sure everyone has fun". I've been gaming for 20 years now, and running games the whole time. I've led 3 Supergroups in City of Heroes/Villains, and the players claim to have always had a good time when in my groups. I'm also the PC Liason for a post apocalyptic LARP run in the New England Area. It's my job to handle player concerns for the Staff and ensure everyone is entertained at the game (the game maxes out at 60-70 PCs every weekend, so I've got a lot of work to do...). 3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game.I'm a casual gamer, and a light to moderate roleplayer. I'm good at staying in character, using out of game speech to the minimum required, and going out to have a good time with my team. I enjoy bantering during combat, and playing a character, not just playing the game and mashing buttons. I'm not much of a raider, and don't have a ton of interest in PVP (although I did dabble in the Battlegrounds when I player WoW, and fell in love with the Arathi Basin). 4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that?I suppose it depends on the position and the level of commitment. I can lead teams, and if TOR has a "Task Force" style mission thread I can lead those. As far as a high level, high commitment admin position in the Guild, I have to trust myself and say "I likely don't have the time". EDIT: I've responded to Mostlyjoe that I'm interested in helping with recruiting in my area. 5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each.I've been a co-Guild Master and a Solo-Guild Master in City of Heroes. I also lead a Guild over on SWG in the Sunrunner Galaxy. The groups in CoH are small but still going, and we're still having a good time getting online when we can. SWG....yeah, I haven't had an active account there since the Combat Revamp. The best experiences have been when I get a full team of players together, even two full teams, and we go out and waste 4-6 hours of online fun and enjoyment. It's the people in the guilds that keep me coming back and logging in. The worst experience I've had is when OOG crap comes into play. Be it people looking for love and taking something in character to out of game, or when two people just don't get along and it starts to draw factions in the Guild. I was on the periphery of a SWG city exploding that way, and a Coalition in CoH because of people in my Guilds and people in other Guilds. I just want to log in, get a group going, and have a good time. I don't want to deal with interpersonal drama. But sometimes, you have too. *shrug* 6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you. Well, I've been here since episode...24? 26? of the Order 66 Podcast. I've contributed a few things to the boards and a couple house rules to the show. I'm a Star Wars nerd, but not one who attempts to impress/degrade other geeks with my knowledge. I'm a community theatre actor, a fair sketch artist, an experienced roleplayer, a masterful game master, and a full-fledged member of the 501st Legion (New England Garrison). I'm 34, have a SigO of 4+ years, rent a house with my brothers, work in the financial industry, drive a Scion xB (2008, not quite the BOX that they were...), have a pet turtle that's now old enough to drink if he wanted to. I follow the Red Sox, The Patriots, interested in the Celtics, and hope the best for the Bruins. I will never fault anyone for their teams of choice, even if they love the Yanks, the Devils, or the Colts. Finally, I hope to meet up with some of the more...memorable members of the forums someday. I have a hunch we'd get along famously. That or we'd get into such trouble we'd earn a headline on CNN... Edited with more information. 5/12/09

1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66? I want to be in a group where I am familiar with the core membership from the start. The guys and gals of the GamerNation are friendly and helpful SW fans, many of whom already have experience with MMOs. In short, good gaming buddies. I think it will feel a lot like starting up a new campaign/system in a group that has played together for some time. 2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies? My 2 strongest suits that would be useful to The Order of 66 are event organization and communications--and much of my experience in these areas is SW-oriented. During my 6 years as a SW costumer I have coordinated events from planning stages through "after-action" reports. I am also comfortable making contacts. I do a variety of writing as part of my hobbies, as well as having professional experience as an editor. I wrote press releases and informed participants of event details. I have written articles on gaming for the Online Journal (a former feature of Rodney's SWRPG Network) and on costuming for an employee newsletter. Some of you have read my contributions to the array of fan-produced gaming materials. I even dabble in fanfic writing. In RPGs I've played I usually end up being either the chronicler or what in a TV production would be called a Continuity person. I was the one who recalled all the details--from who was there doing what to what color the "magic vahz" was and what table it was sitting on. 3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game. Since TOR will be my first experience in this type of game, I talked about this a bit with my husband, a WoW player with whom I have participated in many tabletop games. He kindly described a bit about raiding, RP & other things usually involved in MMOs. I believe, after hearing him out, that I will most likely be a pretty RP-focused player, much as I am in tabletop and play-by-post games. I love character development, backstory, & in-character interactions. Although I try to pick abilities and equipment that fits my concept best, I have never focused much on optimized builds. I expect to be a more casual player--if only because all 4 of us in the house will be playing at least 1 MMO once TOR goes live. 4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that? I would be happy to help out in any way. Since I am new to this aspect of gaming, a position that does not require a great deal of knowledge of how guilds work would be best for The Order of 66. Working on events, Real Life or in-game, or as a liaison would best utilize my experience. A position where I assist someone with more guild experience would also work. 5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each. As I mentioned above, this will be my first MMO, so I have no previous guild experience. 6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you. I am a lightsaber instructor who focuses on Makashi--oh, sorry, that's my alter ego. I am a longtime SF & fantasy fan who was introduced to RPGs (AD&D, Morrow Project) in a high school gifted ed program and met my husband in an AD&D campaign. We now have 2 gamer kids. As I mentioned above, I am also a costumer and belong to both the 501st & Rebel Legions. In addition to SW, I love Star Trek, Jules Verne, some Piers Anthony, the Deryni novels, among others. I have a zoology degree and professionally have done everything from microbiology (my favorite) to scoring essay exams to editing medical transcriptions. I lived all my life in Florida until a couple years ago when we moved to Little Rock, Arkansas where my husband grew up. (No, TK-421 is not one of our neighbors, we think he lives in Booger Hollow. Must pop in for a visit sometime.) Purple is a very good color, but I prefer lime green.
