Good question, but I will wait for the lore masters to weigh in with something appropriate.

From what Dave told me when the subject of a Klingon Guild came up for STO, there will only be one faction guild. So there will only be the Order of 66 as it's own section of the forums. In the 66th Fleet we have threads about our "K-Side" fleet, the Gorn Resistance, but the GR won't be getting their own sub-section in the 66th Fleet (at least until Vadersson sends rabid attack tribbles after Dave and he caves in).

Based on a lot of information we're seeing, the Ruling Class... ...may want to reconsider the policy to only allow one Guild on these forums for TOR. It sounds like this game is going to encourage players to play multiple characters and both factions, rather than restricting folks to one side or the other.

There's a lot of story to play, and I've already got ideas for a Sith named "Ji'em".

Seriously though, we have a ton of canon junkies, GM’s and Lore Masters that given just a small little push could let their creative flow and come up with a concept and guild name that would be able incorporate a good RP focus for Sith, Agents and Bounty hunters to be able to function together on a long term basis and a nifty name to go along with it.

maybe a link to the original "Name That Guild!" thread could help us think of some names after looking through all the discarded ones

Hrm, good point.

So, looking at that thread things came together quick enough guild name wise.

So…

The Order:

Pro – Nice, short and to the point.
Con – Probably in the first 25 guild names taken.

So, some more in depth thoughts.

The Ziost Hegemony:

Pro – a nice play on the typical Lucasian need to make “Evil” obtusely obvious (Darth Bane? Really?).
Con – None that I can think of.

The Order of Adas:

Pro – A nice tie in to Sith History (and the Order of the 66th) and can provide a nice frame work for the Canon Junkies to create a RP theme and playground.

Con – Again, none that I can think of right now.

Zhol Kash Dinora (it is done):

Pro – Simple, to the point and in the Sith Language.

How about The Linear Guild?

Thank you, I am still contemplating whether to just make one and let everyone use it, or make custom banners for all guild members. but for right now, i'm putting the banner making on halt until we have ourselves a name.

I don't have any specific suggestions, I'd just like to weigh in for it not being a pun or joke. If we're going to be on an RP server, I'd like the name to be reasonably serious. I like Zhol Kash Dinora a lot.
The Dark Forces would work very well, too, despite being a reference -- it still works in-universe without the video game reference.

How about Dark Forces 5: Jedi Knight 4: Jedi Outcast 3: Jedi Academy 2: Sith Academy?
