Hola folks!

I'm looking around for people who are interested in acting as community recruiters online and IRL. The jobs really simple, find people for the guild...but there is a catch.

It's got to be the right sort of people.

I know, that's a loaded statement, but let me explain. What we're looking for is people honestly interested in playing both TOR and with the GUILD. Any popular guild deals with people who claim to want to play flitting in and out all the time. Most have a probationary period for new players and that's going to be the same with us. However, in those early months of the beta and the later launch we're going to open the doors wide for all the folks who are signing up here, now. It will be a confusing few months of weeding out dead alts, problematic players, and establishing the various tiers of management outside of the core council.

So by right sort of people I mean the folks who are going to stick through those early months and aren't going to cause more problems for us when we get things rolling.

That's where you come in! I'm looking for a good crew of recruiters. I need folks who are willing to find, screen, and keep in touch with potential players in the coming months. In essence your going to act as my 'vouchers' for new folks. I'm going to do some active recruiting myself, but I need you to build those numbers for launch day. The more support we have the better things are going to be.

So here exactly is what I'm going to need:

1. That you be an active member of these boards. (At least a login, and some posts.)
2. Some time free to talk to RL friends, online friends, etc to see about potential recruits.
3. Willing to do local book keeping to keep a list of contacts and potentials.
4. Able to keep in touch with these people to let them know about big announcements.

That's it. Just as I'm your go-between to the Council, your going to be these peoples contact to the Guild. Easy as that. When things go live, you'll call them in. Then vouch for them, and act as later management for future recruits. Sounds complicated, but it's not really.

So drop a line here and we'll see about making you an official Guild Recruiter. If I accept your 'application' then I'll spell out other minor details from there.

Dropping a line.

I don't really know anyone outside of the forums I hang out on (d20radio, Saga-Edition, WotC), but I'll be spreading the word regardless of whether I'm appointed or not. In the games I've played I've been pretty good at recruiting people. Screening who might be good fits, extolling the virtues of the guild, and then guiding them once they've joined.

Consider my line dropped.

I don't have a large pool of people to draw from, but I do have several IRL friends interested in the guild. I've told my Sunday RPG group about the Order of 66, and they all sound interested.

I'm interested. I have some local RPG contacts, as well as online gamer pals. I also have many contacts among local SW fans, who have other SW interests & might like to give TOR a try, such as the 2 costuming legions and FanForce. I can definitely keep in touch with members & potential recruits & like doing so.
I also see a good opportunity in my area to organize face-to-face events (once we know the launch date), either before launch to get some interest or later on. Our local library system has already hosted 2 such events for WoW, and is planning more, according to my husband. I have the contacts to arrange for a TOR event there. I had already thought about this & would love to organize one under The Order of 66 banner.

I have already gotten a few people I know excited and interested in playing the game. That being said, I kinda doubt they would be interested in the guild, especially at this early stage. Not really the RPing types (anymore). If we end up having divisions within the guild (based on player-type, that is), they are quite experienced and used to be pretty hardcore in WoW PVP and raiding. Now that I think about it, one of them just started to replay Star Wars: Galaxies last week, FWIW.

When I showed the HD E3 trailer to my actual gaming group they all seemed impressed.

Actually, instead of giving my life story consider me like ShadoWarrior: Just dropping a line and spreading the word around.

I'm fine with people 'just dropping by' but I don't think this is really the thread for it. If your serious about looking for friends/co-workers/etc and recruiting them to the guild then post. Otherwise, drop a line over on the general banter and if you change your mind come on back here. Thanks.

Ive only a couple of Potential people to play. 2 are interested one does't even know much about the game even though I talk to him about it every time there is some new tidbit of news dropped. I have my old guild buddies from past mmo's the few I still talk to I will try to bring in.

That's all I ask. We have a wait on our hands, but I'm going to talk to Dave this week to get an update on Recruitment activities.
