1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?
I've quite recently got into Saga and listening to the podcast and the Gamer Nation are an awesome group of people. I'd like to play TOR with some cool gamers, and having a bit of an RP experience. I've got some experience playing SWG (back before the NGE), and more recently EVE online (great game).

2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?
Some experience of MMO gaming, as mentioned above, and someone who has played most of the BioWare games released in the last 6 or 7 years I have a bit of gaming background. I'm also keen for some RP

3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game.
I'd like to play quite casually, I'm not too sure how much time I'll have to play, but will be keen get involved with some RP when I do get chance to play. I'll be more interested in playing through the stories with a range of characters than raiding/pvp.

4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that?
Not especially, but if there was a need for it in the UK/Europe timezone I'd be happy to do some minor administrative leadership.

5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each.
Played in a fantastic guild in SWG, the best times were a Krayt hunt on Tatooine and the worst was people slowly leaving as the game got turned upside down, we ended up using it as a very expensive version on MSN messenger.

I also had fun in EVE online with a small guild, though there was little formal structure, the best experiences were setting up a trading corp and nearly making it big, unfortunately too many of our players didn't have the time to push our little operation into the big time.

I've not had a particularly bad experience with guilds, mostly as I've not gone into a particlarly big operation where a bad experience seems more likely to happen.

6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you.
UK gamer, who's got into table-top gaming via computer games, especially BioWare's RPG's and aforementioned SWG and EVE online.

University graduate and now training as a professional while playing in and running a couple of games of SAGA or DnD.

Cheers

1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?'
I want to be part of a community that is as great as this one. I want to take part in many activities and raids and what not. I want to be part of a guild that is surely going to be as great as this one will be.

2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?

I have played multiple MMORPG's and have a rather extensive knowledge of the Star Wars Universe. I have participated in several guilds before, but not any in a sci-fi setting. I took part in group RP in Guild War's and also partook in several large battles that required a large amount of coordination. I have helped people on quests before and often like leading them through harder quests if necessary.

3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game.

I prefer to game fairly casually, but sometimes I do hardcore raiding.

4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that?

I don't have a lot of spare time, so a higher leadership position would not be best suited for me. I would like recruiting people and when I was in a Guild Wars Guild I was a recruiter and enjoyed meeting and having new people join.

5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each.
The best and worst were both in the same guild in Guild Wars. For a while we had tough raids and enjoyed staying with one another. However, soon infighting started happening with certain officers raising their voices on how the current leader was ineffectual and was disposed. This split the guild and the guild that I became part of was no longer the one I had known.

6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you.

My real name is Brady Turner and I am a freshman in college. I am looking at Education/History and love playing video games.

1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?

Well I have Been a Listener of Most of the d20 Radio Podcasts and Everyone is Definitely the Kind of Person i would want to Game with. Also by the sounds of it Most People in this Guild would be more laid back when it comes to gaming. I enjoy Guilds that care more about the gaming experience that Loots and DPS.Also really looking forward to Roleplaying its usually hard to find a Rpg Guild.

2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?

I have Played MMO's On and off for 14 years and i am a Team Player. I Like to play Support characters,Healers,And Crowd Control. Also enjoy Roleplaying and i like take time to help Lower level characters even if they are Non-guild members.

3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game.

I'm Usually a Casual gamer but every once in a while I'll Hardcore a Hole day or two depending on my Schedule. Normally i Like to work on Skills and Love to take time to Role play in towns and such. Also love to Explore.

4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that?

I have been a Guild officer a few time and i Enjoyed the Position. I was always fair when dealing with Confrontations. I have limited time to play but if i was offered or earned a Responsibility i would gladly take it and do my best.

5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each.

The first guild i was in was a Guild me and Some of my real life friends created so it was a learning experience when i can to requiting and dealing with problem gamers. matter of fact the first thing i had to deal with is one of our real life friends got our guild in trouble by selling summoned weapons to newbies in EQ (Ever quest). They didn't know that once you logged of they went away. I personally refunded to money to all the players he sold them to and Kicked our buddy out of the guild because he and i had mixed words over his actions.Later though he Finlay apologized and was invited back in.

We also had a Great learning experience running our first raid we wiped allot but we all joked about how much we sucked and ended up role playing later in the taverns drinking over our failure.

6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you.

My Name is Juan. I'm 30 and i Live in Santa Barbara California. I have been gaming over 20 years On Consoles, Computers,Table tops and Even Larps. I Enjoy Roleplaying games Mostly but I am willing to play most others.I just finished GMing a year long Star wars Saga Campaign that I have to say was one of the Best Experiences i had Because of all the Great info and Game Ideas i got from the gamer Nation.

1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?
After reading the boards, I saw a community being formed of like minded indivduals working to create a friendly and fun gaming experience. When I first played wow, I was lone fish in a sea of gamers. Had I been apart of a guild in the beginning, I would have not spent many frustrating hours of trying to learn and play the game. Bottom line, I enjoy learning and playing with my peers.
---------
2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?
I am a listener, not quick to judge, and attempt to look at a problem from all sides. I may not be the strongest of leaders, but where would han be without his trusty wookie? In the end, I will be loyal and do my share to ensure that the guild grows and everyone has an enjoyable experience.
---------
3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game.
I am a casual player. I do enjoy raiding and PVP, but not at the insane hard core levels I have experience in WOW. I am quality over quantity. So, if the guild doesn't blast through a raid in two nights, but instead has a good time learning and growing...I would be happy. I am very interested in the RP aspect of an MMO, but have little experience with it from my time in WOW.
--------
4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that?
As I mentioned before, I may not be the best when it comes to leadership, but I am someone you can count on. With that said, if asked to assume additional responsibilites with the guild based on my merits, I will not turn down an opportunity to help the guild.
---------
5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each.
My only experiences with a guild was during my time in WOW. I was apart of three different guilds over a three year period. My class role was mainly DPS.
The best time I had was when I was with my ICC25 raid group that was composed from members of 3 different guilds. We were sort of the b crew in our man guilds, but in our runs you could never tell it. We had a good time learning the bosses, while cracking the occasionaly jokes.

The worst time I had was when my first guild that I ran with decided to corrupt from bad leadership and political drama. The guild started string, but unchecked egos and greed decayed the guild from the core.
--------
6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you.
My name is Jerry, I am 33 yrs old, and I am a technology-whore (according to my wife...and it is most likely true). I am in the field of IT and have been gaming both tabletop and virtual for many...many moons. My first gaming experience was in the AOL chat rooms for Star Wars...post and play. I have played EQ, EQ2, AC, AC2, WOW, Rift, and SWG (left before NGE).

When I am not gaming, I spend time with the family (either coaching my sons soccer team, watching movies, or hanging out outdoors). I grew up with star wars like most people, and have a love/relationship with the movies.
Overall, I am just looking for a good group of people to hang out with to level and have a good time.

I want to experience the game with like-minded people who I know love Star Wars as much as, if not more, than I do. The d20 Radio people I've interacted with have all been good folk, so I know I'll have a good time with y'all.

I'm not sure what skills I have that will translate into TOR gameplay. I'm fairly observant on good days, I'm friendly, helpful, and trustworthy. I used to be a pretty good twitch gamer, though I am starting to slow down a little. I also tend to be level-headed and I look for creative ways to solve problems in as efficient manner as possible.

I have a fairly casual, RP playstyle. I haven't raided since my days of playing EverQuest, and do not intend to do so. I enjoy exploring the game world and the game's story more than acquiring Phat Lewts. I typically cannot play for the extended periods of time that raiding requires, and when I do, the extended playtime is always a surprise to me and never something I've planned. I don't mind group with nice people, and enjoy social interaction, but I despise trolls and griefers.

Nah. I have enough responsibility in real life; I just play to have fun.

My best guild experiences probably come from WoW where my guild is helpful, answers questions without being snarky and telling me to alt-tab over to WoWHead, and has even traveled to far away zones to help me with a mob I just couldn't beat down myself.

My worst guild experience comes from EverQuest where I was pressured to attend all guild events, regardless of schedule conflicts. I recall one time where I was threatened with being kicked out of the guild if I didn't cancel an event at my sister's house so I could participate in a raid.

Some of you may know me from my involvement with the ENnie Awards (I'm Hans, the Submissions Coordinator & Publisher Relations). If so, then "Hi!" If not, then, I also work as a Catalog Production Coordinator with a trade organization in Indianapolis and published my debut fantasy novel (Wings of Twilight) in October. A sequel is on the way and the first in a YA sci-fi series is nearly in the can as well. One day, I hope my novels can provide me with a sustainable income.

I'm once widowed, twice married and currently have a step-daughter with my lovely second wife. I've been a Star Wars junkie since 1977, though I was soured on it a little with the prequels (though they're still enjoyable) and especially the NJO.

I pre-ordered the Collector's Edition of TOR based on the strength of my beta experience during the first Beta Weekend (11/11-11/13) and I feel more strongly after this most recent Beta Weekend that was the right thing to do. I'm not sure how I'll fit playing TOR in with WoW (I signed up for the Annual Pass just before I got my Beta Invite), but I reckon I'll manage. I'm not sure I'll get my pre-order early, though. The only place I would give money to that still had the CE on 11/14 was Target, so I don't know how they'll get me my early access code. The worst case scenario is I may have to wait until after Christmas before I can play.

I plan to have at least one Empire side character, because playing a Bounty Hunter during the Beta was totally awesome.

1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?
Call it a good feeling. I started listening to the Holocron 2.0 about a month ago and every mention about the guild and the members we have demanded that I be a part of it. I’m looking forward to some light RP with the guild and I think it will make playing the game that much better.

2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?
I have a playfully strong will to win but I also want to have fun above all. I say playfully because if my group dies 10 times inflating a Rancor’s confidence so we can crush said confidence on the 11th try then so be it. I’ll laugh through every step of the way while always trying to get better.

3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game.
I’m a casual player. If I can spin it (i.e. my son sleeps for an extended period of time) then I will be on a long while any given night or every night for that matter. I do enjoy raiding because of the epic encounter and team work aspects but because of my schedule it won’t always be an option. I have not role played minus a few dabbles but when I did it felt natural to me and I look forward to doing it more in swtor. While in game I certainly like to quest, given the great stories and cut scenes, but I also like to group. In games where I was able to level by doing group content I would often skip quests for a period of time. While I don’t want to skip quests in The Old Republic I will hope to spend a lot if time fighting badies with guildies. I also tend to find the “off road” things in a game to keep it fresh. I will be doing a lot of ship missions and exploring planets, just because.

4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that?
Yes, I would serve in a leadership role if approached and the responsibilities where within my ability to perform. In my years of MMO gaming I have been in all positions (member, officer, leader) and was content in each one. I’ve learned that although it’s nice to have a leadership title, the role you perform is more important and makes the title mean that much more. To me leadership positions are those of service and the focus should always be on the guild membership. I think this insight and my prior experience would qualify me though I more than content as a member.

5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each.
My best and worst experience in a guild would have to be when I played Aion. A few months after launch I was faced with a decision: lead the guildies I had gotten close to since launch or dissolve/merge the guild. I didn’t want to change our guild at all so I decided to lead it with the co-lead help of another member. The next 9 months was the best experience I’ve had in an MMO. We never got too big but at one point we were coordinating two separate groups and had events planned almost every night. Our website was active and I spent a lot of time just getting the weekly news, events and polls up. In the end it became too much. As my playtime lessened I refused to give up on things I had done for the guild but I was getting too stressed. Over the next couple of months my interest in the game declined and I transitioned power over so I could take a break. I went back to the game a few times but it wouldn’t stick with me. Overall it was a great experience and I learned more from that year than any since ’03 but that’s a story for the next section.

6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you.
Personal - I am a 32 year old married father of three children: eight, six and 3mo. I started playing MMOs back in ’03 when my son was born. I’ve always been a fantasy nerd and night owl so playing MMOs was a natural decision when wanting to stay home side. I started with EQ and absolutely loved it. From then until now I’ve played EQ2, WoW, Vanguard, Aion and even FF14(CE, ouch!).

Star Wars - It sounds funny to say I feel like I’m coming home to swtor, especially since I never played SWG past trial, but it’s probably my earliest fantasy memory other than GoBots. I still have my original ‘Empire’ sleeping bag and I don’t think my wife appreciated the look I gave her when she suggested we toss it while cleaning the garage. The want to be a Jedi passes to each generation and my son loves Star Wars just as much if not more than I did. I didn’t realize until some time back just how much lore there is outside of the movies. I have spent a while now searching through the interwebs for as much info as I can and I want to get the audio books for the three leading to swtor.

Gameplay – I will start off playing a Jedi Shadow named Aeldan Baeyer and plan to write some short stories about him and his past that ties in with our guild setting and in game. I typically play from 9-10pm on until 1am, 2 or 3am on the weekends. I intend to play every night but there will be times that the Rancouch will eat me. I have a positive and playful attitude most of the time. If for some reason I’m grumpy I probably won’t be playing. Since I have a 3mo son I look after at night there are times I’ll be playing with one-handed. Not to worry, if needed in a group I will give you forewarning and have made an art of it.

I look forward to meeting and playing with everyone. I cannot wait until I get in prior to December 20th, whenever that may be.

1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?
I've pre-ordered TOR and would like to play with my fellow gamers and d20-radio/Star Wars fans. During the beta, I found I had much more enjoyment whenever I would group up with other players and all were very helpful and friendly (a credit to SW fans as has been mentioned on the podcasts).

2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?
I have several years experience playing Guild Wars and my play style is friendly. I enjoy the story aspects of these games, but also take part in challenging quests (i.e. raids, elite missions, etc...). In playing a game like Guild Wars with my friends, I learned how to play as part of a team and carry out my role on the team, usually as needed but sometimes exceeding that mandate creatively and (usually) effectively. My characters tend towards the typical builds, but usually with a twist. In Guild Wars for example, there are "accepted" builds, and I'd sometimes borrow elements of those builds, but rarely the entire build. With a few basics in place, I would lance out with my own creativity to make a character that could be just as, or more, effective than the established norms.

3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game.

My play style is a bit above casual. I don't play hard core, but I do tend to play these games very regularly and try to be helpful to members of my guild or a pick up team. I tend to opt for the story and PvE elements of these games rather than PvP and would see my primary role as supporting new and experienced members as we explore the PvE side of the game, with an occasional romp in a raid. I'd probably complete the game with one class and then dabble in other classes along the way to build out a roster of characters across a decent range of levels to be able to jump in with just about any group. Usually after completing the story, I'll lean a little more towards raids and prestige titles or things like that, but will still go back to the story and try other classes. Depending on how the space combat part of the game is, I may get involved in that as well, but I didn't get that far in the demo. I'm an avid fan of the old X-wing and TIE Fighter flight sim games, so it is possible I'd get extremely drawn into that part of the game if it turns out to be good.

4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that?

Not at this time. I have time enough to play for several months, but probably not enough time to be in a leadership role for an extended period of time (such as a year or more). I am willing to take on a leadership role if the guild has a need and guild leaders and I believe my play style and skill are well suited to the designated role, but my current understanding is that leadership roles are well filled already.

5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each.
I've typically only been a member of small guilds with my friends, so something of this scale would be new to me, however I again think that my attitude towards just having fun in a group of players is the best part of these experiences. It's been rare that I've had a bad experience with a guild mate and it usually arises from some kind of dissatisfaction with a guild mate that is being rude or unreasonable. Even those instances tended to pass quickly as water under the bridge.

6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you.

I am 34 years old and living with my girlfriend while holding down a full time job which actually has very reasonable hours. I try to get in at least 1 or 2 pen and paper RPG sessions per month and I run a Dawn of Defiance game one night a month via Skype and Map Tool. I am a fan of d20 Radio and the Order 66 podcast who was drawn into these communities through my love of Star Wars Saga Edition. I've been GM'ing home games of Star Wars for the past 16 years across all editions, with sprinklings of playing and running D&D 3.5 and Pathfinder. I'm also an avid video game player, particularly of a sizable number of the Star Wars titles, with one of my favorite games of all time still being the original TIE Fighter and its expansion packs.

1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?
I've been following D20 radio since near the beginning and The Oder of 66 since its beginnings too. I'll go into details about why I've had an absence from the community in the background, but ultimately I've been waiting on this game for the 2-3 years or however long it has been.

2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?
While the last time I seriously played an MMO was back before I got sick (same time when I fell out of the community), I am at least someone experienced at the basics. Furthermore, I tend to play healers so I should be able to contribute effectively on the PvE and PvP scene given their general rarity.

RP wise I'm fairly inexperienced when it comes to MMO RP, but as far as RP in general I'd consider myself at least competent.

3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game.
I honestly like to do a good mix of everything. My old guild back on SWG was very RP heavy, but I honestly enjoy doing everything the game has to offer. Playing solo, going group, and even a bit of RP is all good to me. I would say I prefer group activities more than solo.

4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that?
I would like to at some point, but given that I'm working and am a full time accounting student at the moment, I simply couldn't dedicate the time to a leadership position.

5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each.
I have to say the best part of my experience in my old guild was the initiation. There was an elaborate meeting every so often where allot of the members gather to welcome in new recruits (and at that give them a little bit of friendly crap). It was always allot of fun getting everyone together and having a little ceremony to welcome in the new guys.

On the opposite end of things the guild did have times when they were RP heavy to the point that even if someone was simply inexperienced they would be reprimanded or even dismissed harshly. Luckily I never personally had such a thing happen myself, but that isn't to say that it wasn't disappointing to see someone get bashed for simply being inexperienced at such things.

6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you.
Well as I said earlier, I've been falling D20 radio since early on and I've been following The Order of 66 since its beginnings. I got sick and ended up in and out of the hospital, had to take the GED to graduate do to missing to many classes and eventually had to move back to Houston with my aunt and uncle. After that I ended up busy with college courses and due to a general lack of time haven't been able to get myself back into the community.

Luckily I've finally began to clear up my schedule and get into the swing of everything. My illness has cleared up too so I'm allot more energetic than I once was. Also, my old republic account got access during both beta weekends, so with that I started to really get pumped up. Remembering everything about d20 radio, I've started to get myself back on board and while I still don't have the most time in the world, I'm sure I could be a contributing member.

With the help of Perrian, i realized I have never followed through with the recruiting thread.

1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?

I have been listening to the Order 66 Podcast for at least 3 years now. Since discovering that the d20 network would be forming a guild in the upcoming game, I had decided this would be the guild that I would like to be associated with.

2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?

I have been commonly an off tank and second DPS. I’m good at what I do and follow orders as needed. I try to be a community participant as well. I now when to step up for a challenge and will take on the role the group needs to be successful.

3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game.

Generally casual gaming due to real life and a three year old. Moderate RP when the mood hits me. I have been known to RP events but this is not my primary method of play.

4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that?

Leadership generally does not interest me but I am always willing to be a part of guild relations and moderating any issues. While I may irritate some people at time, I do try to keep the peace.

5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each.

I have always attempted to be a strong part of any guild I have been a member of, either through guiding other players or participating in events. I have made numerous friendships through active raiding through LOTRO or SWG and continue to hold on to these friendships to this day. Unfortunately, I have also dealt with issues where members of prior guilds have been subject to their pride, ego and sense of self importance. I despise “drama” and have left guilds in the past due to bickering and power plays.

6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you.

I am a long time geek but no longer a specialist in any one format. I can sometimes have a wicked sense of humor and occasionally need my wife to smack me in the back of the head to remind me I can go too far. I generally tease people I like, so it’s rarely meant to be vicious.

I’m a therapist by trade and work with Federal parolees in a treatment setting. As a result, I am a bit more pessimistic about some situations in life but always try to see the good in people. In the end, I love to make people laugh. I don't always succeed.

1. Why do you want to be a member of The Order of 66?

I never listen to the Order66 podcast. In fact I have never listened since episode 10. I have no reason to know that I meet the people involved in the show at GenCon this year and that they are cool. I have also never posted on any of these boards about star wars saga edition. I would never play pen and paper RPG's so there is no way I played the old D6 WEG star wars. Since I am not very interested in SciFi Fantasy I would not have seen all the star movies or read any of the novels that came out later. I am not currently running my own saga game either. In short I have no idea why I would want to join the guild or even play the game.

In all seriousness I have some good memories of the people that I meet and talked to through the Order66 podcast. I think that one of the things often missing in MMO is a good community and GM's Dave & Chris seemed to have created a really good one. I imagine that will continue in the MMO so I can not think of a better bunch of people to celebrate my star wars geekdom with.

2. What skills do you have that will further the experience of your fellow guildies?

I am generally pretty good at games and friendly to play with. Once I get a good idea of how things work I am good at explaining it to others and willing to share knowledge and help people in need.

3. What is your playstyle? (Casual, hard core raiding, RP?) and explain what you like to do in game.

Casual gamer. I'm in this one for the fully voiced story finally no wall of text quests. Also it said Star Wars on the box so I had to buy it

4. Do you want to be responsible for a leadership position in the guild, and what qualifies you for that?

If guild leaders are needed I can step up but I have no problems just being a player. A friend and I ran a guild in WoW for years and had enough people to raid high end content.

5. Describe past guild experience, and share the best and worst of each.

The Best was probably our first successful full guild only raid.

Playing DDO and adventuring through a couple of parts of a long dungeon when all I need was the last part just to be kicked out of the group so they could invite there guildies for the end. I was not in that guild or any at the time but i quit playing shortly after that.

6. Finally, let us know about you, and your background so we can start to get to know you.

I am a software QA Analyst that works at a major financial firm. I have been playing pen and paper RPGs for 26 years. I have played in a lot of different systems and games. Currently I am running a Saga Edition game once a week. My game time has recently been shortened a bunch by the arrival of my son Jacob who will be one year old on the 18th. Which is probably when I will get to play the game. I also have a wife I occasionally get to see. I am a big Star Wars and Trek fan. I disagree with Harry Dresden even though I like the books. I like pro football but my team loses a lot and I enjoy watching college football when Ohio State University is playing or Michigan is losing.

Look Forward to playing with everyone Sex in Advance.

My account in swtor is under JediKray I think JediShawn was taken but I may have been the one to take it on the forums then lost password.
