I have found yet another thing I'm uncertain about: How do doors and override work with regards to timing? Which applies first? For example, my friend has Lobot in his squad and he moves him so that he is adjacent to a door. He ends the turn of Lobot, so the door he is adjacent to is open. Clear so far. Now, can he use Lobot's override also at the "end of his turn" to open up a door that he just got line of sight to only because he opened the adjacent door? We were playing on the train station map from the clone wars starter set, and he would move across the trains pretty fast like this.

Thanks for all the help guys, I appreciate it!

Your friend has it correct. 'End of turn' events are resolved in the order the person taking the turn prefers. One situation that he could not see a door beyond the one he is next to is if on the previous turn he had locked that door. In that case when he moved adjacent to it the door would remain locked until he resolved doors.

A fun application of 'end of turn' resolution is using RS Princess Leia. Since it is your choice at the end of the turn you could move a character who is a legal target of her CE next to a door, open that door, then move 2 spaces through it. (Or away from it) That door would stay open until the end of the next activation when it would slam shut. That could be useful in using a shooter on your second activation to take a shot through the door before it closes.

I assume your talking about the movement aspect to his CE...i believe the answer is no. "ally" is defined as "another character in the same squad" therefore it could not be himself.

I do believe Joe is correct. "Ally" does not mean "self".

That's why we need more STAR WARS Characters with multiple personalities that way they can be their own ally! ;)

So let's say I have a rakghoul and I kill one of my opponents pieces, so it becomes another rakghoul. Does my opponent get points when he starts killin the extra rakghouls?

That is an excellent question. I would say "no, he does not get the points if he kills the new Rakghouls." However, it would then become very important that everyone remembers how many Rakghouls were originally in your squad.

Now, here is a question in the same vein.

If it's Rakghoul vs. Rakghoul, does the player who's Rakghoul wins basically take over another Rakghoul at full health?

The great thing about playing Rakghouls is that, with the exception of any you start the game with, NONE of the subsequent conversions are worth any points to your opponent. One player in the Md regional introduced an effective and hilarious strategy...when facing Nom-bomb squads, use Lobot to bring in a Rakghoul. You attack one of his cheap 4-6 pt bombs, it blows up doing 20 damage to your 30hp Rakghoul, but you get a brand-spanking-new Rakghoul. And...it comes in un-activated! From what I hear he had success with it in the one game he played against Vong. It certainly was the talk of the regional.

To answer Brev's question, if you are implying that you'd take over your opponent's Rakghoul...technically no. For every character you kill, no matter what the living species it was...you'd need to supply your own Rakghoul. Of course, in a friendly game, you could always house rule that otherwise. It would be kinda fun to rip someone's arm off (figuratively) and then beat them with it.
