Here is the place where you can suggest ideas for squads you would like for us to talk about on the 'cast. Maybe you want to make a Stealth squad, but don't know what are the best pieces? Maybe you have a squad ready for your home game, but you're looking for flaws? Maybe you have a favorite piece, but don't know what squad to put them in? Maybe you want to best the GMs at their own game?

Post it here, Gamer Nation, and we'll get it on the 'cast!!

(We would ask if you have a squad you'd like us to build, please keep it between 100 - 200 points. Anything larger is hard to play, not as accessible to all players, and will take a lot of time to go over on the 'cast.)

I'd like to see a 200 Pt team including Republic Commandos, I've got one I roll out with but I'm curious to see what you guys dream up.

Here's a 100pt Squad I built up, sadly I just haven't invested enough cash into minis to do much anything better, but WORSE, I can't seem to find any local minis player to play with, so I don't' really test it out much... It does have some neat properties, and can play a pretty fast game.

Name: Vader's Fist
Faction: Imperial
Value: 100

Darth Vader, Champion of the Sith 50
Endor Stormtrooper Officer 14
Univ Stormtrooper 5
Endor Stormtrooper 5
Stormtrooper 5
Stormtrooper 5
Evo Trooper 13

Use the troopers under vader's CE and you have some power, just pray you don't roll a 1. Also, the Officer keeps things a little safer...

Damien;

That's a solid 100 point squad there. A suggestion I would have is instead of Vader, CotS I would use Vader, Imperial Commander, and here's why;
- CotS does have a neat CE, but if you roll that one, your own piece is elimated from the board. Ouch! Yes, the +4 to Attack and +10 to Damage is greatness, but if you roll that '1'...it scares me.
- Imperial Commander Vader gives the a static of +6 to the Defense of every Trooper. NICE! That means a 5 point Stormtrooper now has a base Defense of 22. That's the same as a lot of Unique Jedi!!! That's one less than Vaders!!! And in Cover...that's a 26! Gulp. Your troopers will be almost impossible to hit! This is perfect for combine fire and for CE's that give Double Attack. I can't oversell Darth Vader, Imperial Commander.

Now, he is 3 more points than Vader, CotS, so you'll have to make some adjustments. Personally, I'd lose the Evo Trooper and pick up two more 5 point Stormtroopers. That gives you;
- 8 activations
- +6 to all the Trooper followers Defense (22 not in cover!)
- A Vader with a +15 Atk (one of the highest in the game!)
- And a Stormtrooper officer who provides a +3 to Atk if his followers don't move.
- Now, each of those Stormtroopers stats are: 10 Hit Point 22 Defense +7 to Atk 10 Dam. Not too shabby for a 5 point character AND you have 6 of them.

But those are my two cents...

If only I: A. Had more stormtroopers. B. had Imperial Commander Vader.

Sadly, I have neither. :( Bulding squads with only 99 pieces is hard...

I had a 150pt RepCom squad, using Delta Squad, a few ARC Troopers, the RepCom Training Sergeant. Only got to play it once in a friendly game, but it was kinda fun. Especially when they guy I was playing against tried to "turtle-up" and Scorch said "nothin' doing." :mrgreen:

Now with the ARC Sniper from the Clone Wars set, I do need to revise the squad list.

I have been meaning to go through the old boxes for a while now. Let me see what I can find. Maybe we can reach an accord.

Also, if you have the stats from the minis manager, but not the actual piece, I'm sure an opponent would have no trouble squaring off against you as long as you both remember which Vader it is.

Ok, here's the 200 point Republic Squad with Republic Commandos.

Character Point
Aayla Secura 50
Captain Rex 33
Clone Commander Bacara 23
Republic Commando - Boss 19
Republic Commando - Fixer 16
Republic Commando - Sev 16
Republic Commando - Sev 16
Republic Commando - Sev 16
Elite Clone Trooper 11

Total 200 pts

There it is. GM Brev may more than likely come up with something better.

Mas Amedda's Booming voice and The Bith Black Sun Vigo's CE are great in the squad.
