This week we take a look at the Karak Azgal supplement for WFRP 2nd Ed and we wax lyrical about what we like and what we don’t like. Why wasn’t this used to provide a good amount of info on dwarf holds as a setting? How do we feel about the idea of dungeon crawls in our wfrp games? And how much fun is Halfling darts? All these answers and more can be found on this weeks show.
Also this week we answer a listener question from Jormi Boced on the d20 radio forums regarding the humble Ratcatcher and why he doth have such a pole.

I approve of this episode, for reasons which shall be revealed within.

Well, that certainly explains why the couple WFRP GMs I know always seemed to hang their heads and grumble when this book came up in conversation. It really does seem like a missed opportunity to really delve into dwarf culture, although the gold-worshiping cult was a neat hook. And I think you both pegged Brian with 100% accuracy

Thanks for answering my pole question. My player was asking me about it, and I told him it was to let people know he was a rat catcher and how good he was with the dead rats on it. I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything. Thanks for the additional information. I will certainly relay it.

Great episode. Though I don't entirely agree. I always liked this book as the foundation of a campaign. As with all the books I don't always use everything in them but this one gives me enough hooks and suggestions to run a good dungeon style game in WFRP. Having said that I do play D&D as well so I may be a little biased. Also wanted to punt out this suggestion as well. Play some 3rd edition, the games are very similar in feel to 2nd or 1st but the dice and cards add some nice elements. Anyway great show (though you could bring it down to half an hour if you edited out the pregnant pauses)
