This question popped into my head the other day when I was talking with my friend.

When you are creating a character, do you have a final build that you have in mind that you are working toward?

Or do you have a character concept to start with and decide how to build the character throughout the progression of the campaign?

Or is there a different way that you build your characters?

As for myself, I have always played characters with a starting concept in mind and build to suit the campaign and/or style that I have been playing them.
