Does Ruthless (soldier talent) stack with itself? (Force Unleashed page 29) It says:
“When you deal damage to a target with a melee or ranged attack roll that exceeds the target's damage threshold, you gain a +2 bonus on damage rolls against that target for the remainder of the encounter.”
Let’s say I exceed a target’s DT for the second time. Does my bonus damage then increase to +4? I know typed bonuses don’t stack with themselves. But this isn’t a typed bonus.

Techinically, as the +2 bonus is untyped and there's no "once per encounter" note like there is for Dirty Fighting, then yes this would stack with itself.
While that does seem a bit butch, bear in mind that is a Tier 2 talent (so you'd need to be a 3rd level Soldier at minimum to get this talent) and it has a requirement that's going to be harder to satisfy at higher levels (namely, beating the target's damage threshold). And it's the rare bad guy that's going to survive long enough to be hit more than three times during a combat encounter, particularly if the heroes are able to gang up on them, so you're probably only looking at a maximum damage bonus of +6 before the target drops like a sack of Idaho spuds.

I agree with Dono. It's pretty conditional, it's second-teir, and it's only a +2 bonus. Besides, the name of the talent is "Ruthless" so I'd expect something like stacking damage to be within the parameters of the name

Still, against a really big target with a boat-load of hit points, I could see this talent growing to a really hefty number.
