Just started playing a game and we were given a Dynamic class Freighter without a name. The party hasn't decided what to name it yet as there is an argument between: Taxi and Fat Whale. My character hasn't chimed in yet, but I was thinking Barracuda since he has already added the +25% speed boost from Tech. Specialist feat and I plan on putting some insane guns on it.

Love all the names already given. I'd thought about naming a pirate's ship as Rancor's Gorge, and in a fantasy game, we joked about the name Shorn Wookiee, which might be funny for a Trandoshan ship.

Some great names here. In a previous RCR game: a cut-down version of a Republic Cruiser: Luminous One two super-modified Z-95s: Vengeance and Justice Other games: Lion's Share Cantankerous Our Current Saga game: Custom Smuggling Transport: Lightlander YT-2400: Star Dancer (already saw this name earlier in the thread, strangely enough) Stolen Republic Cruiser: Original name Revenant, falsified ID of Stark Reminder Beat up old GR-75: Wayward Sun Names I haven't used yet, but probably will soon: Goods for Sale Die Tired Just a note to those naming ships: If it's an actual BOSS registered name, you probably don't want anything that'd make it sound like you're doing criminal activity... even if you are. Especially if you are.

I just brought a 2nd character into our game, who is a noble with the wealth talent. Currently they are paying off their loan on their ship, a Citadel class cruiser. I'm looking at naming it the Albatross, since it is a boon until you shoot at it then it will destroy your ship

In an old WEG game I played in, my character flew a very heavily modified Imperial Customs Guardian Light Cruiser named the "Relentless", assisted by slave-rigging and droid brains. It was more of a 'get to where I needed to go' than 'fight my way to where I needed to go' ship, as I was barely meeting the skeleton crew requirements.

Have an Ewok that was raised by Jedi in a Clone Wars campaign.
After he left the order (didn't like the clones being used as slaves to fight for those who were too cowardly to do it themselves), he fought a Kryat dragon and found himself with some very expensive pearls.
Used the credits to buy an Action VI Cruiser which he's having a biosphere installed by some ithorians. Calling the ship, the Redwood.

I this might seem like thread necromancy, but I have some names to contribute:
I have recently read a couple of books with some very good ship names that I plan on putting to use for my upcoming campaign. Elizabeth Moon's "Vatta's War" series (which will be a huge inspiration for the story of my campaign) and Raymond Khoury's "Last Templar" series. The proposed ships are as follows:
The Players' YT-1930 Transport, owned and operated by the PC scoundrel. I'll let them name it as they will, but if they ask me for input I'm going to recommend the name Falcon Temple after the Templar ship lost at sea in Khoury's first book.
The Gary Tobai will be an as-yet-undetermined military-class vessel, owned and operated by the corrupted, mafia-esque "Vatta Corperation" at the command of a Sith Lord and his Apprentice. In Moon's books, the Gary Tobai was the main character's first ship. I'm just planning on using the name.
Finally, the few who remained loyal to the Vatta Corperation's original ideals stole an advanced YT series transport named the Fair Coleen (another ship from Moon's books) and organized their supporters to form "Vatta Free Enterprises" They join forces with the PCs to fight back against the Sith and their corrupted family.
I know it might seem like a lot of material from outside sources, but that's one of the perks of small, friendly tabletop gaming. You can mix things as you please... ^_^

The Apex Raptor
a Belbullab - 22 from the clone wars brought to legacy era standards (add the advanced template and call it stock) and then tricked out to the point that to do anything now, he has to undo something else.

My largest and longest running group ended up with a YZ-775 that they named "Demon Sparrow".
My current group's ship (a YT-1300) has gone through some name changes due to paranoia - but the current name is "Ruby Damnation".

In my original home game (first time I took up GMing) several years back, the players crewed a YT-2400 dubbed the Insipid Shrike. They installed some false transponders, and the names of each transponder code were as follows: Armored Eel Crawlfish Emerald Opus Flying GundarkThe Shrike makes occasional cameo appearances in most of our games, much to the players' delight. They even had a chance to crew her again (she was sadly dilapidated and they fixed her back up) in our more recent NJO era game. The way it stands, though, she's about to die in Sernpidal's spaceport while the heroes escape the planet's demise aboard the Millenium Falcon. The game is on hiatus due to EotE In Edge, the players have been flying a YT-1300 called the Dirty Dream, which half of the players love and half of them hate. So it makes for interesting roleplay. They lost the Dream a couple sessions ago but have picked up their adventuring in a loan ship, a Firespray called The Endorisit. I've only had 2 players for the last few sessions, so it's nice to give them a more personalized feel with a smaller ship. Plus now they are rivals of Boba Fett (there's a bit of a vendetta going on), so it's appropriate

Not super original, but I've had a ship, a light freighter, with the the name of High Maintenance. I've often one with Dawn Treader as well, for a light freighter. I think it was from this thread that I got Velvet Vengeance.
