I have two potential house rules regarding Sunder (There's some lightsabers in my game, now!), and I wanted to see if anyone has strong opinions on them.

One of my issues with Sunder is that it is rarely useful against weak enemies, which constitute the majority of enemies. Mostly if you hit a minion with the saber, it doesn't matter whether you cut his gun in half using Advantage, because he's already dead.

Sunder on a Miss
Normally you can only use active weapon qualities if your attack hits in the first place.

Potential house rule: The attacker may trigger Sunder even if the attack misses.
In particular, this makes weapon destruction more attractive against minions, who are largely easier to kill than their weapons are. On the other hand, being able to cut a blaster in half when you don't succeed at actually killing the minion is really kind of tantamount to killing them. On the gripping hand, as GM you can easily rule that the minion who lost his weapon is the next one to die from damage, which makes the weapon destruction a way to nerf the group's attack immediately even though you failed to actually reduce the group's lifespan.

Alternate potential house rule: The attacker may trigger Sunder if the attack misses by spending 2 advantage.
If blowing up weapons on a miss seems too easy with the above rule, this variant could put the brakes on that behavior while still allowing the players to feel cool.

Easier Instant Weapon Destruction
Since you can activate Sunder multiple times on a single attack to cause more than one damage level in an attack (destroying the weapon with four Advantage), it seems silly that it still costs two Triumphs to destroy a weapon instantly (per the "spending advantage and triumph" table) if you don't have the four Advantage.

Potential house rule: When you deal damage with a Sundering weapon, you may spend a single Triumph to immediately destroy an item that you could have otherwise damaged with Sunder.
This just opens up weapon destruction as a potential use of a Triumph, in lieu of dealing a critical.

Alternate potential house rule: When you roll a Triumph while wielding a Sundering weapon, you can spend the single triumph to immediately destroy an item that you could have otherwise damaged with Sunder.
This would allow you to destroy a weapon when you get a triumph on a miss, so it's really combining this and the previous rule. But you could use this in isolation, so that 4 advantage on a miss aren't able to wreck weapons, but a single triumph can.
