Hey guys
First of let me say that I'm enjoying the show a lot. It's fun to listen in on the adventure as other people experience it, and since I'm incorporating Dawn of Defiance into my KOTOR game, it helps to get some ideas on how to expand upon the groundwork that the Wizards writers laid down.
I listen to your show on my IPOD, usually when I'm out walking (I do that a lot) and I have noticed a few things. Mind you I'm only on Episode 5 or 6 at the moment, so some of this might have been dealt with already, so take this feedback as constructive criticism about the technical aspects of your fine podcast.
- I have to turn up my IPOD to hear the voices of the players which is fine, I know that they have to sit a bit away from the mic. However when you bring in sound effects, they are not balanced with the PC's volume and it screams in my ears, lol.
- There seems to be some sort of high pitched tone on the recording. Sometimes it's louder than other times, but with the low voices I mentioned above, it makes it hard to strike a balance between hearing the guys, and not being deafended by the tone. It's not all the time, but at least two of the recording have it real bad. Hope you resolved this.
With that out of the way, I can say that I really do enjoy this podcast, especially the GM notes, roundtables, and the special editions, reviewing the two modules that you didn't record. Keep up the good work!

Yeah, that has been a thorn in Garrett's side for awhile. It involves his loud laptop fan and many of the guys sitting too far away or other interference. It gets better in later episodes, but unfortunately it is still there at times. You get used to it and Garrett does a good job of trying to do what he can about it as it goes on. I think it's probably one of the most prominent 'complaints/questions' he gets. Btw, don't worry who I am cause my character wont crop up til episode 30 something probably (Ain't even been released yet)

Actually I'm listening to it on my computer and the tone is nowhere near as loud. Perhaps I'll start listening to this particular podcast at home for the time being. I'm not complaining too much. Like I said, this podcast got me interested in using the Dawn of Defiance Campaign, or at least a good portion of it, in my Star Wars Old Republic Campaign. I'm looking forward to hearing more of it as time goes on. viewtopic.php?f=6&t=10715

Thanks for joining us. I love the idea of listening while taking a walk. I need to get myself that motivated. If you're on an ipod, try adjusting the eq settings to spoken word. That should help. EQ settings balanced for music can make the music reign supreme over our kind of recording. Thank you Robert for discussing the tech problems. Laughed my butt off, since I covered in great details in the most recent episode the perils of recording the show in a new segment about live play podcasting 101. Looks like Robert took notes. Garrett
