Hey All,
I started GM-ing Kingmaker as a play-by-post. Life events kicked the game in the groin, so it became a solo run with my wife of all things!
To support my wife's character, I needed party NPCs quick. I did the typical, check the book for NPC. Figured to roughly round out the group, I needed a fighter, magic user, and cleric, then made them unknown family members of my wife's character.
For the cleric, I used Kayhan out of Wiz First Rule and Jonah Hex and mixed them together.
For the mage, I imagined a son that was smart, sent away, young-ish, and more into men.
For the fighter, I went with an older swashbuckler, so I put Errol Flynn's pirate persona and mixed Sean Connery's Remeriz from Highlander. Added a bit of a drinker, ladies man, and bast*rd son of a noble house in Brev.
I'm going to talk about what I did in my podcast someday, but would love to hear what you would have done!
Thanks! S.M.
