I usually get blasted for this, but I have to ask: It has been over three months since the previous episode...any sign of the next one on the horizon? Looking forward to it...

We are aiming for a release date of Monday April 30, 2012. We may not reach it. But that's our target. Getting the editing completed on this one is going to be very tight, but we're trying hard. This is the latest update that I've seen and obviously its going to be later than Monday April 30th...since how its May 10th now.

I would love to have the last recording sessions done this weekend. 50% of recorded content has been proof-edited.
It's close.

Well, there have been just two releases in the last seven and a half months. It's now 103 days & counting since the last episode. Congratulations on a new record. Yet, with all that said, these guys still do the best podcast in gaming (of any genre) and it's just nigh impossible to forget about them. Frustrating or not (since they were releasing material that was arguably as good with 3 week minus turn around times at one point) I've been avidly, no, rabidly awaiting each new podcast for three and half years now and will continue to in the future no doubt. They really are just that good. And you sure as hell can't beat the price. Isshia

My fear is that the crew will burn themselves out by doing these mondo monster 6 hour behemoths and will need to take the summer off. A man can only take so many Days of editing hours and hours of content (on your precious free time, for free) before he goes mad. I don't want to see Azmyth in a psych ward. So as much as I am chomping at the bit like the rest of you for the next episode, I would rather have a late ass podcast with a happy crew enjoying wasting their free time on us than a on time podcast with hosts that think this is a sucky, unpaid, second job with ungrateful fan who's hunger for more episodes can never be satisfied.

Nevertheless, its pretty boring around here these days. Shame too. Once upon a time, Chronicles was the best Pathfinder podcast. Even won a shiny Ennie too. Blasted!

It is only boring around here because we haven't had a good back and forth discussion on a while. I won't stoop low and start a flame war by starting a "Fighter can be replaced by better full bab class" that is on Paizo every month but how about this: As a DM what really throws a monkey wrench in your ideas in designing a campaign? Is it the lowly fly spell the takes a lot of traps and terrain option away from you or even the Crain style that keeps that smug character alive through what should be certain death? So tell me of you pain and how you adapted to the growing pc power.

Toys are my pain.
That is to say my current pain is a player that I'm convinced has a host parasite. He's playing a multi-class Druid, Alchemist, Summoner and maybe he dipped into monk, I can't keep count anymore but he has totally strained the game. I'm massochistic, so I don't mind the pain -- its fun. He's a real swarm machine.

I had one of those once in my 3.5 game. A multiclassing fool that made him a combat monster with near unbeatable saves... yeah. I fixed it by requiring full role-play as to how he learned this new class and if he wanted to have lets say a Cleric level he have to convince the whole group to go on a pilgrimage to a fall off temple and a good lets say 3 page back story as to why a Frenzied Raging Barbarian would become a priest. If you really wanted to min-max I would make you work for it so the story would benefit not just your mob killing abilities. Most of the time he said screw it and stuck with just 2 classes which kept him in line with the power of the rest of the group. As much time as min-maxers spend going through ALL the pdfs to make shit like ragelancepounce work they seem to melt like the wicked witch when it come to putting forth that effort in Role-play.
