A few quick points:
We are trying to get Episode 015 edited and up for download this Sunday. The cast is all recorded, it’s just a matter of post-production now.
Most of the Podcast hosts will be off to Gencon next week. Mark and I are arriving in Indy on Wednesday around supper time, Azmyth will arrive on Thursday in the late afternoon and Merry will be there early in the wee hours of Friday morning.
We are hosting, along with Dave and Chris from the Order 66 Podcast (and some others as well) a free seminar on podcasting on Friday morning, from 10:00-12:00 noon. The event is free, but you should get a ticket. There are currently FITEEN (15) tickets left for this seminar.
Please note that following the seminar we expect to break out into a short of meet n greet with listeners. For those looking to enter the give-away draw for Herolab and D20 Pro, attending at the seminar to "validate your entry" is required to win

We will be attending the Ennie Awards on Friday night from 5:30 to 9:30 in the ICC: Ballroom 500. We'd be lying through our teeth if we didn't admit that we are anxious over it and looking forward to Friday night.
For those who are attending GenCon this year, I hope you can't make it to the Ennies -- because you have more IMOPRTANT THINGS TO DO. Those matters of import on Friday night would include:
- The Pathfinder Society Gencon Special: Blood Under Absalom, once more the interactive covers 45 tables of players involved in the same mission, moderated by (the 2 time Ennie Award Winner) Tim Hitchcock! This was a great event last year and if there is any way you can get to play in the Friday night special -- you should do it. Tickets are sold out, but a few generics might be able to get in case of no shows. If you do have a generic, arrive EARLY if you actually want to play.
- The Gencon Auction: Collectibles: Once more, the auction staff at Gencon seems bound and fucking determined to ensure that they hold the most interesting part of the auction on a time slot guaranteed to conflict with the maximum number of high profile events possible at GenCon. It's a god-damned shame. In previous years (read: FOR DECADES) , the collectibles went on sale on Saturday night at about 11:00p.m. to midnight and everybody who wanted to attend, did attend, Last year, that changed as a result of griping from auction staff and the Gary Gygax memorial auction. Regrettably, the Collectibles part of the auction is, once again, scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. in the ICC - Rooms 130-133. Even if you aren't in the market for buying expensive RPG collectibles from the 70s and 80s, the auction is entertaining as hell to just sit in on and watch.
- Auction: At all other Times, apart from the high-priced collectibles on Friday night, the auction is otherwise the largest of its kind in the world and there are some GREAT bargains on OOP and hard to find products there. Sometimes, there are some great prices on products that are still on store shelves, too. DO be sure to check out the auction room and take a look at the schedule and what's coming up for bid. The anecdotes form Frank Mentzer are usually quite entertaining and the auction remains one of the highlights of Gencon
- Changes Changes Changes: Things are changed around in terms of rooms and events this year at Gencon as there are parts of the ICC which are new and now open, and older parts which are closed and under renovation. If you assume the Auction and PFS room are in the same locations as in previous years -- you'd be WRONG. Check your map for the location of events at Gencon 2011, as almost everything in the main floor of the ICC has been moved around since last year.
- Chronicles on Twitter: Azmyth will be twittering out our location at the con periodically, so if you are looking to find us, that's probably the best way to do it. [I'll post Azmyth's twitter account to follow a little later].
- In terms of Pathfinder Society, I will be running Sewer Dragons of Absalom on Saturday in slots 8 and 9, which have starts of 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., respectively.
New Releases of Note
GenCon is the single largest release date for products in the RPG hobby and there will be no shortage of stuff to see and buy in the Exhibit Hall (ala "Dealer Room"). In terms of Pathfinder, highlight of the new products include:
- Ultimate Combat
- Vol 1 of the Jade Regent Adventure Path and lots more.
- Paizo Booth: One of the nice aspects of Paizo' booth at Gencon is the sheer number of products that are there for sale. Most retail stores do not stock a full complete line of all things Pathfinder and GameMastery, but the Paizo booth tends to carry a HUGE line of things Paizo publishes that they have for sale in their webstore, so if you are looking for hard to find flip-mats and gamemastery map-packs, the Paizo booth is a treat.
- TERRACLIPS: One of the coolest products we have seen promoted for release at Gencon 2011 is WorldWorks Games' TERRACLIPS, a new constructible 3D pre-printed terrain on cardstock. There are several promo movies demonstrating these products available on the Worldworks Games site. I know Azmyth has his order in already and I will be buying some of this new 3D terrain as well. I invite you all to give it a once-over and CHECK IT OUT HERE. Looks like COOL STUFF to me and will be of great interest to Pathfinder GMs -- especially PFS GMs.
