Hi Steel Wind,
Thanks to you an Mike for creating such epic podcasts!
As a GM and organizer, one of the parts of the show I really appreciate are the rules sections. Your discussions on lighting and sundering were very helpful in helping to clarify how those subsystems work, and make my GMing experience easier and more informed.
One of the problem areas I have is the effects of blindnees/invisibility/darkness. The rules are pretty clear on most parts, but the part I struggle with is determining how monsters determine targets if they are blind.
As a GM, in a worst case scenario, I can always just take the monsters off the board and have the players try to figure out where they are, but for monsters, how exactly do I determine what targets they know? What about casting ranged spells or spell-like abilities while blinded?
As a complex example, I was running a Glebrazu in a game and was planning on using reverse gravity, confusion, and chaos hammer to great effect. Just before the Glabrezu's turn, the party's wizard got through the SR and hit it with Glitterdust...
I may or may not be correct in my ruling of whether or not true seeing works if you're blind. But that point aside, I was having a hard time figuring out where to build reverse gravity wells, and deciding reasonable target areas for confusion and chaos hammer. And although he 'knew' where PC's were that hit him, what about ones that were in reach? How could he figure out where they were? How about the guy on the flying carpet?
Although I'm managing my way through regarding this issue, it would be helpful if you could have a discussion on this topic in a future podcast.
Thank you for your consideration, and keep up the good work!
