Ok run the first session of king maker and it went well. First they gathered together at the swordlords palace and were given there mission. explore the greenbelt lands.
They are told that an old outpost/fort is under control of an old man called oleg who has turned it into a trading outpost.
Oleg is rude to the PCs while his wife is quite friendly. The players are told of his plite with the local bandits and they ignore it and decied to explore the first hex. after mapping the first hex they see smoke coming from the trading post and investigate. Oleg is not happy with the PCs for not helping him, when they said that they would help him in anyway.
With a good diplomacy roll they convice him they are here to help, he tells them that the bandits will be back in three days for a second "tax collection"
THe PC set up a small ambush just incase they fail at trying diplomacy. One of the Pcs takes it onto him self to spring the trap in absolute suprise to the PCs and the bandits. (funny as hell)
They loot the bodys and track the bandits to there hideout. where they attack the bandit camp. Only one bandit survives the attack and thats because he was the last one alive and was prone.

THats where we called it a night. It was a very good night. I will keep you all informed

ok guys we just finished our second week of Kingmaker and it went great.
he PCs have now mapped six whole hexes. THey encounted the Fey dragon and his off sider and i did lots of fun practical jokes on the PCs.

i mainly picked on one the half orc fighter. First night they covered his face in mud second night they cut the leather armour off of the rouge from aroud his groin and after tea bagging the fighter they put wooden sticks on his helm. he looks like the stag lord. hehehe. they made the diplomacy checks and made friends with the feys.

THen the PCs know somthing was up so two stood watch but they still got the fighter the joke they did to him well can be said in this forum but it involes a stick, no pants and no lub.

they met the discraced cleric and went after the ruined temple there i made a thunderstrom come out of nowhere. it made it a hell of a lot more interesting when the PCs had to maike Str checks to stay up in the strong wind, but they killed the elk guardian. not beforeone of the PCs used the spell bleed in a very interesting way. (the PC is female and the bleed spell you get the idea)

they also encounteed the moon radish patch and with some great Diplomacy roles make friends with the kobolds there.

all in all a great game

Merged the new thread with your old one here, and edited the title a bit to clarify.

Good to hear you're enjoying the AP - keep posting these, I'll be reading them for sure, since I likely won't be able to start my own Pathfinder-game until after the summer sometime.

I'm playing in Kingmaker now, so it looks like I can't read this thread because of spoilers. Hopefully it's still active by the time we're done.

sorry R.C, Jr you cant read anymore.

Ok we continued kingmaker and we got really far. They started the campaign near the end of summer and into autumn; soon the very cold and deadly winter come knocking and they went running. They started to realise that the druid could use survival to predict the weather for two or three days. We also found out that because they are foraging for food instead of using their rations they slow down. During winter foraging isn’t worth it when you face death by cold. Hehehe.

They encountered the old man Bokkan and were invited in for tea. They found the trap door spider there and the hidden map in the dead bandits boot. Moving on they stumbled into the trap filled forest. They missed the barbarian grave but found the dead trapper and his Masterwork hand axe.
They have explored about a quarter of the map now and its different having a sandbox adventure (think Grand theft auto or cart in this case) instead of a linear adventure (one that gos from A to B to C).

They come across the wandering cleric after completing their quest for him of killing the mad bear. One of the PCs decided that they couldn’t reach him and he might not be able to hear him (didn’t ask me if it was possible) so got out his sling and throw a potato at him hitting him square in the back of the head. So Jhod was mad and very angry and said that he would honour the agreement to cast any spell he know on them ONCE only. A second PC intimidated him and so he moved to friendly for one hour. A third PC rolled a bloody high diplomacy to calm him down and talked Jhod into keeping the agreement with only the other PCs that had not hurt or intimidated him.
My PCs sometimes piss me off with the stupid stunts some of them do.

Ok the spring thaw came tonight after spending 15 long weeks cooped up in the trading outpost they finally got out into the world but not before trying to train a bunch of horses in combat. (They got one horse trained)
They went and checked up on bokken and found a bunch of bandits attacking his little hut. The killed the bandits and talking to Bokken again. They learnt of his evil brother and went looking for him. They found the gold mine and surprise surprise they went crazy. (sticking signs saying our mine, Death to anyone who goes in) stupid stuff like that. They found the hidden cache and found the wand, spell book and ring. They encountered the undead ferry man and agreed to return with the stag lord’s head (or body without head). we had just reached the mites tree and attacked. Killing the first four mites (its only two but because there are 6 players i doubled the number of mites not like there any threat)

Ok sorry people but we started late tonight because people had family commitments on and work. It must have been batter fingers night because we saw that many ones its was bloody funny. So we finished with the Mites. They moved down the right tunnel and come across the lone Kobold Mikmek who was standing with a makeshift spear where fear in his eyes. I asked if anyone know Draconic the language of all dragon kin. The player that did wasn’t there so in my games that character fades into the background. So they did some funny sign language that was almost made me piss myself. Finely one of the PCs decided to talk SLOOOWWW and LOUD to him in common at which point he responds. Very funny at the time.

They made him an ally and then faced the chasm looking they saw that the nots in the wall where false and would make them fall so one PCs went down to loot the bottom of the chasm there he got a nice surprise from the giant centipede that attacked. The druid tried to jump over the chasm and failed the jump check and hit the ground. His bird companion followed him down and almost bite the dust with a good hit and max damage rolled the bird was down to two hit points its master got critted and instead of rolling the 4d6+14 damage i dropped him to 0 hit points instead. The Halfling bard used its whip on it and thanks to its high natural armour did nothing. The rouge jumped of the ledge and landed on the back of the centipede. He got one good hit in and was bucked off.

With a combine effect they killed it and left not before the Oracle of battle tried to jump the chasm and failed landing on the ground HARD. They then fought the mites and its leader riding a tick. The tick grabbed onto the rouge and drained his blood until a more appetizing pray come up the juice oracle of battle there it grabbed him and drained his blood and gave him a disease. More 1’s were rolled to night than any other game i have been in and the fumble card kept coming out. ( love fumble cards) looting the room of the coins the weapons and statuette they found the last room left 6 mites sitting down listening to bad music and readying a ripped children’s book upside down. They dispatched him very quickly and move into the hatchery where they found 6 eggs they destroyed 5 and kept on to hatch and train. (should be interesting) that’s were we stopped for the night.

Tonight’s reports a bit long i just had little to work with so i tried to write all the funny things that happened

Ok tonight after they rescued the kobold in the mites lair they asked the koblod to take them to his peoples lair. They came up to the cave entrance and found the sign saying "old silver Mine" They walked in and young Mikmek called out the password to enter the cave without attack. The Pcs told them to "take us to your leader" they lead them through the cave and to the chief. After a tense moment with both side looking to see if the other would attack they talked them down. THe chief gave a small talk about their past and young Mikmek told the chief that they had the idol. THe chief demanded the idol and the PCs gave it to him, which he immediately smashed. Then the chief yelled in a loud voice "now you kill the usurper!!"
The chief lead them down to where his "room” is in the cave and told the Pcs too attack. The room was full of roots and puddles which block charging lanes and make difficult terrain a large Cauldron. The evil kobold Sharman saw them coming and turned invisible and waited. Using buff spells to make himself more survivable. After some horrible rolling on the PCs parts they manage to kill the Sharman’s familiar.
The Sharman was then tripped using the Gnomes whip and using concentration turned himself invisible and then escaped. The gnome then hoping to use the magic potion that was boiling away in the Cauldron pushed it over and rolled a crit on the druids Roc animal companion which dropped it to -4 hp. ( we have a rule that if an animal drops to 0 its dead, only PCs go into negatives because they are heroes) after spending ten minutes waiting for the attack they released that the Sharman was gone.
They went back to the Sharman and said he’s “Gone” the chief was very happy and told them that they could have anything in the Sharman’s cave. One of the PCs said “No thank you, you can have it” which no other pc objected so the chief said thank you we will like you.
Then the PCs wanted loot and i told them that they get nothing takes to the comrade’s generosity, they objected so i gave them time to grab 2 pieces of loot, the wedding ring and a bag of money. They talked to the chief about the silver mine and with some diplomacy they made they got an agreement that the Kobold would mine the silver and give it to the PCs but they get 25% mined for the next 10 years.
They left the cave and started mapping again at which point the oracle was bitten by a giant flea and failed a fort save to resist disease. After several failed fort saved he started losing Str. They continued to explore and the oracle need to make more fort saves he dropped down to 7 str from 14 before he was able to cure the disease. They found the river ford on site X and thats where we held it for the night

if you have any comments or questions go ahead and ask

Gday guys tonight was a good game with a little tragedy.
Tonight we continued to explore the greenbelt, they explored and found the Fangberrys and the druid using his woodland stride ability moved through the thicket without harm into the nest of the spiders. The spider swarm sprung out and attacked him by climbing on top of him. The druid turned 180 degrees and run for his life screaming SPIDERS HELP ME SPIDERS. The party looked at him and laughed, the sorcerer came up with the idea to use unseen servant to send it into the thicket and get all the berries (not a bad idea). They left and moved out to continue to explore. Then the tragedy happened, a big thunderstorm moved in and I got a player to roll a d10 for a tornado, there is a 1 in 10 chances and guess what they got it. A tornado sprung up and everyone panicked, tying themselves to their horse or to trees. Every single PC and horse made its save but the druid’s animal companion a “ROC” failed and was swept up into the tornado and died. The bird was thrown clear and when the storm passed the PC went to retrieve the body. Then cooked it up!!!!
They moved out and stumbled into the tuskgutters lair, the druid went up to use wild empathy but failed since the boar was insane and charged after him ignoring everything and everyone to gut him. The half orc fight moved around to attack the two other boars and was nearly killed by them, not before rolling a crit fumble and having his great axe torn out of his hands. The boar then spent 3 rounds chewing on the weapon and destroying it. The PCs focused on tuskgutter and finally killed it. (a war horse stole the kill much to the pcs disgust)
They then dispatched the rest of the boars and stoped to rest for a night. The Half orc fighter rode off towards Olegs at top speed to get the reward for its head. They also got the reward for the bandit’s finally. (I had all the trade caravans go to Restov during spring and return towards other countries during summer early autumn.
They then continued into the forest and found the thylacine stuck down the hole. The druid got excited because if they let it go he could track it to maybe a baby thylacine and he could capture it and train it to be his animal companion.
Thats were we held it for the night.

Ok sorry I’m a little late with this one but i had to go to bed early. Well we started late tonight because people hadn’t arrived but as soon as they did we got stuck right into it. They travelled North West and encounter the boggard and his skulk pet. Two very large frogs, but the PCs didn’t attack which is a first for them. The half orc fighter was not spotting his own feet for the whole night every time i got him to make a perception check he got between 0 and 5. I love it when the players can’t make simple rolls like that.
“watch out for that pit trap.” Says the elf pointing to the ground. The orc looks up into the sky and says “where wherrrrrrre” THUMP. “Fellers!!!!”
After everyone tried talking to the boggard with all their languages I decided that only the Oracle who when gets stress starts talking in tongues but the tongues language is the one that the boggard talks in. They talk to him and he welcomes them to his empire and that they are not allowed to enter his kingdom with weapons, two comply while the other 4 don’t, hiding weapons on themselves. Now when the PCs have dignitaries over they will be armed (not all of them of course). After getting some info about the local area the Boggard tells them about the stone man that stands in the nearby forest (statue of Erastil, and about the death that lies south of him (the Tatzlwyrm).
The PCs headed for the statue and after some time wandering around mapping it they finally discovered it. They examined the statue and found some writing at the bottom of it. It was Erastils pray. The druid cleared away all the scrub and knelt down and said the pray. Erastil took note and soon a ray of golden light shown on the statue and their weapons. Feeling good about themselves they ventured onwards.
They discovered the hot springs and as the Gnome was nuding up and hopping into the hot springs the giant frogs attacked, The springs drop 150 ft down and I made it so that the edge of the water is just a shear drop. The frogs kept failing at their CMB to grapple and drag the PCs down and let them drown in the deep.
During this entire time the temperature was getting hotter and hotter. As soon there was a heat wave flowing through the area. The PCs used their spells and cast endure elements but didn’t have enough for all the party. The horses need to make checks. And some failed their fort saves and fell unconscious but the druid and bard had some cure light left and used them on their horses. The druid who had been failing the survival check to predict the weather but soon he realized it and told the other PCs its going to be hot.
The PCs got together and started talking away from me so i couldn’t hear them; they come back 5 minutes later going. Ok we travel by night and rest during the day.
Moving through the forest they is hazards at night so they all decided that they would cast light on every tree so they could see and that if anyone in space was looking down they would see that section of the forest light up.
They encountered the Tatzlywyrms well more to the point they got amrushed by them ( i gave them more hit die) but they didn’t last too long. Taking the heads for the reward they found a scoll case with Gentle repose and cast it on the heads to make them last a lot longer.
The PCs all decided that it’s time to return to Olegs for their reward. That’s were we held it for the night.

Sorry it’s a late report but i had a hell of a day.

Ok The players levelled up to third and returned to Olegs for a bit of a rest, sell items, claim rewards and for the sorcerer to craft three cloaks of Endure Elements. During their stay a trading caravan from the north come down and was passing through. Oleg and the caravan master did some trading and loaded stock and off loaded stock. The sorcerer saw that the caravan had a carriage full of slaves and talked to the caravan master about them. He saw one of the slaves was from Rostland and started talking to him. After finding out that he was a slave because he was just “taken” in the middle of the night for no reason.

The Sorcerer decided to use appraise on the slave (feeling dirty for doing it we all had a laugh) and found that the slave wasn’t worth the 350 gp that the master wanted for it. So he bargained him down to 225 gp. Paying the price and signing the papers the slave was turned over to the sorcerer (whose alignment is Lawful Evil) who then gave the slave his ownership papers, the slave tore them up and throw them into the fire. The Sorcerer gave the slave a job and when he asked to go to the privy with obvious intent to escape the sorcerer intimidated him. After the PCs left the former slave having been armed with weapons and armour made his escape.

The PCs then headed down to the stag lords fort and spied the encampment from a hill. They decided that the best way was to infiltrate the fort by posing as bandits that want to join the stag lords group. They talked their way in and got the stag lord to believe that they were legit not before throwing the idea around of using the Halfling whip to whip the Stag Lord around the legs wrap the whip around the pommel of the saddle of the horse and race off with the Stag Lord being dragged behind. The Stag Lord being suspicious of them gave them a test. They had to go to Bokkens trash the place and steal 7 potions and to bloody Bokken and return with the weapons with his blood on them. They agreed and sent an animal messenger to warn Bokken that they were coming to steal from them. It took 5 days to travel up to Bokkens form the Stag Lords Fort.

During the travel on the third day they spotted their tail. Two bandits sent to make sure that the group did what they were meant to do, but the rogue fell back and engaged them and using some very good rolls on diplomacy and bluff got them to stop so he can cook them a nice meal (the Player is a cook by trade) which he failed the roll (due to no ranks in cooking).

The other PCs noticed that the Rogue falling back and trying to slow down the spies and rode all night all day and well into midnight to reach Bokkens before the spies arrived. They convinced Bokken to give him the potions and to allow them to cut him. They trashed his little hut and tolde him to hide out at Oleg’s. They returned with the potions and the bloody weapons and were accepted into the bandit gang. The Halfling (nicknamed gay Hamster) bard suggested that they should plan an attack on Oleg’s and take over the place. The Stag Lord agreed with it and told the PCs to plan the attack and that he would commit 8 or 9 men to the assault.
That’s where we stopped for the night

Ok sorry its ultra late guys but i have had one hell of a week. Anyway this week on Pathfinder Kingmaker the PCs having talked their way into the Stag Lords camp, had come up with a devious plot into destroying the bandits. They had convinced the Stag Lord that an attack on Olegs would be a good idea and so not 100 percent trusting them he told them to come up with the battle plan and if its a good plan he will ok it and send 10 rookie bandits and a sergeant with the PCs. I had planned that the druid in the Stag Lords camp would use wild shape turn into a bird and fly over the trading post and watch the battle. But instead of zigging they zagged.
The rogue who wants to be an Assassin and wants to use poison went to the oracle of battle and said “make some plans and delay for three or four days while i do my stuff.”
The Pc rouge along with the Pc druid went out into the forest looking for a plant which he could craft into a poison called “Bitches Brew” it’s a nasty poison that affects Intelligence and Wisdom. So he went out found and crafted a total of 11 doses of the poison. But he wanted some more time to plan a big feast before the attack so he could poison everyone.
The Stag Lord walked up to the oracle and asked how the battle plans where going, the oracle didn’t try to bluff him he told the Stag Lord that he had two full plans written up (a night plan and a day plan) and was working on a third. The Stag Lord just looked at him and said so you can do this in a day or two, then walked off. The next day the Stag Lord returned and asked the oracle if he is finished the oracle said that he had completed the third and forth and was working on a fifth!!!
The Stag Lord was suspicious about them straight away and told them that they will need to leave tomorrow at the latest or he will have them killed. The oracle who has the tongues ability was put under some stress so i got him to roll a will save to resist him from getting stressed and talking in tongues but he failed and started talking in some unknown language the Stag Lord started to beat the oracle thinking he was processed by a daemon or something.
The Oracle told the rest of the party that their time was up and they need to do the attack today or tomorrow. They decided tomorrow and the rogue spent the entire night working on his poisons. The next day the PCs cooked up a stew for breakfast and were trying to work out how to get the poison into the food. They just couldn’t walk up and dump it into the food it would look suspicious. So they come up with the idea that the sorcerer would collect the food plates and hand out the food while the rouge would wipe the poison onto the plates and have the druid serve it up.
The rouge failed his sleight of hand check by rolling a 1 and was caught red handed, when asked what the hell he was doing wiping some light blue liquid into the plates before the food was served up he bluffed them with a natural 20 saying that the blue liquid is a sterilizer and was cleaning the plates first.
They handed out the 11 poisoned plates and all but 3 failed the 17 fort save. They immediately lost 1 point of wisdom and 4 points of intelligence. The rouge was the first to act walking up to a poisoned man and grabbed him and slit his throat. Starting combat inside the fort.
During combat one of the poisoned bandits opened the gate to the Owlbear who attacked everyone, the half orc fighter got enlarged and bull strengthen and attacked the Stag Lord with his first attack criting the Stag Lord and almost killing him. Then the next 4 rounds was fumble town. The fighter fumbled twice so did the Stag Lord.
They killed the Owlbear, Bandits and Stag Lord and while they were looting the Stag Lord the Druid used meld into stone and come out of the stone works and saw that they had kill the Stag Lord (his son) and went into a rage and dropped the fighter. They PCs had forgotten all out him and were caught off guard. They killed him to and left the fort, heading back to Olegs, having looted the Stag Lord they found a cool helm which the fighter wore and when they got close to Olegs the guards there attacked them because they saw that the Stag Lord was there, and thanks to Bokkens report that they had attacked him the PCs need to do some very fast talking.
They returned to Restov and got their reward. They returned to Olegs and spent the winter relaxing in the summer a single caravan with 4 dozen heavily armed guards arrived at Olegs looking for the PCs. They gave them the New Charter of rule and 200,000 gold pieces to help build their kingdom.

Ok a bit of a boring night tonight.

KINGDOM BUILDING!!!!

So we agreed last week that tonight would be kingdom building, I had a few plans for the campaign and one of them was that the ruler would be decided not by the PCs but by action. I was going to throw a dragon at them and the one that kills it was going to be the king. Well that all went out the air lock (i mean out the two double stone doors). They come up with the idea of a council instead of a king and i run with it.

Well i must tell you the kingdom building rules are bloody complicated especially when you have players have relationship issues, We would so easily lose our place in the 4 or so steps. SO I got on to the computer and printed off a simple checklist for them to use.

First they built a 12 hex empire in the first month and found that they didn’t have enough BP (building Points as I call them) to feed their people. Then I found the rule that says you can only claim one hex a month and build one building and a house a month. So we started again and called that the sample empire.

Since that initial speed bump and apart from the losing our place in the empire building stage it went well.

They have started in Olegs and turned his trading post into a stables, they have build 4 houses, a brewery, a tavern, brothel, theatre, an exotic craft maker and A city wall. They also have been hiring a 9th level wizard to cast wall of stone for the cost of 450 gold to drop the BP by two for some of the buildings

They have build up to both gold mine and silver mine and built several farmlands around the area. They are slowly moving south to build a castle at the Stag Lords keep which they know that it would take a good year before they could build down to the keep. We are three years into the campaign as it is (game time of course).

That’s it. It was a fairly boring night and did no adventuring.

Well last night was a boring night again. well its not that boring i find it fun doing the kingdom building stuff. we started late due to one of the players having taken home the kingdom map. so he arrived about 8ish and then we got 1 hour and half of kingdom building when i had some family stuff to sort out. So i had to kick everyone out at ten. But we start the second book next week.
